    They had rock music by the balls. Great rock band to replace the big hair bands with lipstick and eye liner of the 80's. What a nut case and a waste. Their sound and songs will be played for generations. Unfortunately, too few.

    Then again, saying he doesn't care about the Rock & Roll HOF kind of makes him out to be a " true rock n roll martyr" without killing himself? Maybe it's all marketing?

    I was at the show at Nutter Center in 1991...they didn't go on until like 11 if I remember...was an amazing show (Soundgarden opened) but I remember reading that he was fighting with Stephanie Seymore in a hotel room and that's why they were so late and thinking then how pathetic it was. Brilliant band that belongs in the rock hall but he is a douche...

    This too shall pass...

  • I went to a GnR concert once. I swore then that I'd never go to another after they waited for more than 90 minutes to go on stage after the opening act. I understand a delay, but 90 minutes????

    Never saw them and reason why I didn't their last pass through Atlanta is it was a "school night" and from what I read they didn't start until around 11:00 and they finished around 1:30.

    This homey can't play that anymore.... Not on a "school night" unless I have a hotel next to the concert hall and a vacation day the next day.

  • Very random. Caught it on the news. I always loved the music and I rate Appetite For Destruction as one of the best albums of all time. However, this might be a cool stance for a 25 year old guy but this clown is going on 50. At what point is Axl going to grow up? If this guy wasnt such an immature jerk millions of fans would be happy. This jerk cant put differences aside for 24 hours? I wish Tommy Hilfiger would have beat his skinny ass a few years ago. BTW, what kind of self proclaimed tough guy rocker has a beef with a fashion designer?

    Totally agree. G N' R was awesome- it's a shame they couldn't keep it together.

    2 albums that mattered. They didn't have a whole bunch of good songs, sorry. They were good at that time for R&R(reintroduced rock to an age of pop & sold a bunch of albums 100 mil), but they really didn't influence a lot of other successful bands. Compared to the Led Zeppelins, Van Halens, etc of the rock world, they're influence was mediocre.

    Amen brother! There's too many bands/performers in the RHOF that aren't even rock! I don't have a problem w/GNR gettin' in, but Axyl is a douche! I saw them once and they didn't come on til 12:20 A.M. I didn't get home til 3:30!

    I totally agree. Axl is a complete douche. G-N-R was absolutely the best pure rock band of my generation (I am 37). I can remember blasting GNR while driving to and from school and in the locker room. IMHO Slash is a brilliant guitarist. Axl completely ruined a dominate band. They should go into the Hall and if Axl doesn't want to be a part of it, F him!

  • Actually, the album released a few years ago was very, very good. Chinese Democracy (according to wikipedia) was the 6th Album, and still kicked ass!
