Thad will probably give out two more scholies in this class (2013) but definitely at least one more. As you may have heard, we have ZERO impact bigs on our current roster, none lined up in the '13 class and neither of the two '14 pledges are bigs either. SMH. For some reason, we can't find a single elite high major big man anywhere in America that is up to the challenge of competing with Amir Williams and Trey McDonald for minutes. It's really quite baffling. We're looking at a fast rising prospect out of ADV's HS in Nevada (Findlay Prep) named Schilling. He has some pretty good offers as of late and appears that he will land somewhere in the B1G. What all this inability to land a quality big also means is we sure as sh*t better land #1 ranked prospect Okafor in the '14 class or we're going to get our sh*t handed to us on the low block for YEARS to come. Here's hoping....
Ohio State also dispatched assistant coach Jeff Boals on Friday night, and with a Buckeye offer in hand, Schilling is taking a long look at the school.
“Coach Boals is a great guy and I have a good relationship with him,” said Schilling. “We talk about Ohio State and how I can be an impact player in that program. Coach (Thad) Matta is also a great guy.”

some experts or insiders aren't real high on Loving either regardless of his "ranking". we can't afford to miss at any position, we need true scorers and post men!,
is thomas definitely gone? why not stay and become a legend. might lose a year in europe but in the long run its probably worth it. entire team minus ravenel will be back and presumably better.
the way transfers are being allowed to play the very next year nowadays i would keep an eye on that after the season
I have a hard time thinking DT will come back for his senior year if he keeps this up all season. The only way i see him NOT coming out is if he is not expected to go in the first round and maybe that will not even matter.
Even though Thad has done a great job so far does anyone still think that the perception that "OSU IS ONLY A FOOTBALL SCHOOL" keeps some of these top recruits from seriously considering coming here? SOmeone mentioned earlier that we were being discussed with the likes of Duke, Kansas, Kentucky etc.....but BBALL is king at all of those schools and football is an after thought.
I would expect to see a possible JUCO transfer come in to help fill the gap assuming DT leaves. Our inside game with Amir and Trey McDonald......wow, I cannot even possibly imagine how ugly that will be.
