    The gap between the conferences is pretty large. Anybody who watches the games on Saturday's with an objective eye and not with B1G goggles on can see that. Just the whole speed of the game is at a totally different level, its inarguable. Seen a whole lot of excuse making on here with "oversigning", "bowl games in backyard", "paying players", blah blah blah. Bottom line is they get better players and until its proven that they cheated and all their titles get taken away, it is what it is. Just look at the 1st round of the draft these past several years. I'd say that's a pretty good indicator of the talent disparity when u have as many players on one team(Bama) bein drafted as whole conference(B1G)!

    Your nOt to bright over signing and medical issues $$$$ etc is why the get the best players and have strong teams they cut the weak. Wake up it's not a excuse it's a legit factor

    It is legit. It does give them an advantage, but it is 100% within the rules. It is like notre dame complaining about redshirts, jucos and academic standards. They are rules that are put in place by the member schools and not by the NCAA.

    To say the SEC is not the best is funny. The question is has the big 10 even been 2nd?

  • Even if the didn't "oversign" they still by in large get better players. Just face it, the best recruits in the country for the most part don't wanna play up north. It's no coincidence that the South and West have by in large dominated college football for well over decade now. It's a built in advantage that they have but it is what it is. Who was the last northern, "cold weather" team to win a national title? Ohio State a long ass time ago. That very little to do with oversigning, paying, medical, lax academics, etc. If your 17 years old and u know your gonna be on national tv regardless of where u choose to play in college, would u not consider a warmer climate first?

  • I never said the sec wasn't the best and some years we are 2nd best some years not but the gap isn't that big between the sec and the others and if they didn't cheat on top of their advantages they WOULD NOT dominate the rigged BCS.

    They don't want a playoff they won't be able to win so no they don't want to travel outside of the comfort Zone. That shows you how weak they truly are all the smoke they been blowin up ppls a$$ isnot true they are not the best thing since sliced bread!

    I understand what ur sayin but I guess I would be more open to understanding arguments against their legitimacy if they hadn't by in large dominated college football since the inception of the BCS. Doesn't matter much where the games are played if you have better players, at least in my eyes. They're the 1st conference to publicly lobby for a playoff after Auburn got left out in '04, so they have to at least get kudos for that. Delany wasn't even open to the idea until after last season! At least publicly.

  • Well once we had the 85 scholarship rule the big ten treated student athletes right while the sec treated it as a business and over signing makes such a huge difference that ppl kinda act like its minor. That many extra kids your bound to find a extra superstar or two plus your depth is good because the weak kids transfer or get cut

    Maybe the B1G is just too stupid to figure out how to compete with the SEC or maybe they have priorities other than just winning NC's. Either way as Simpson stated what they do is not against the rules or they wouldn't be allowed to do it. I am tired of hearing your whiny ass complaining about the SEC. Grow up and Quit Bitchin.

    Exactly. Until there's proof of wrongdoing and/or somebody beats them in a game that really matters, I really have to tune out the bitching and moaning.
