Hey there bigspike 55...yes you are wrong, he is still with the program but hasn't been in C-Bus this summer. Very good chance he could transfer, but if he doesn't he'll have 2 years left with OSU. If he does transfer, he'll only have 1 year left.

Regarding Jon Newsome...don't think he left because of academics. This came from a Glenville parent (who also has/had a son play w/Buckeyes), Newsome has very thin skin and didn't like his position coach (Fickell). Just as soft as he was on the field (watch the Wisconsin game last year and focus on 55), he was just as soft to feedback in the film room.

Man we're going to be inexperienced there aside from Sweat....I hope that the young guys can come in this year and show that they can take over in a year.

Steve, how is Crowell doing in his rehab? I know we were really high on him. Also is McVey gonna make it back onto the field? Two good kids that would definitely help out. This whole deal with a position by position break down has been excellent.

Buckiwilde42...what does this mean? "Also side note perry is looking to be heading down de path as well which if happens we have one in current class." Are you talking about Josh Perry and what path is he looking down?

Duane and Others think he will end up being a defensive end not necessarily a linebacker. That would leave us just one true linebacker in the current recruiting class to replace the 5 or so we will lose by end of season.

I hope Coach Vrabel will help the LBs have fun by convincing his buddy Coach Fickell to put in some 'LB-eligible' plays like the Patriots did for him. Be fun to see Grant or Sweat lined-up at TE in the Goaline offense.
