Here is a decent article on Boxee and Roku. Interestingly, it's written by a Buckeye fan (or his wife is anyway). Apparently, you can't get games according to the article so you still need basic cable.
I have Apple TV which we use for movies, netflix, etc. It's great for our kid especially as there are so many shows for kids on netflix. You can stream netflix many ways including Sony Playstations, etc., but we decided on Apple TV since we have other Apple products and like how easy they are to use.

The People's Champion
i live in California for work with a lot of family and friends back in ohio. Has anyone tried using a SlingBox or LavaBox before? I was thinking about buying one and putting it at my friends place... then having the receiver with me in california.
This is the only way i can see to get the local fsOhio and BTN. Has anyone tried this as an alternative?
I'm in the same process as OP. In fact I started a thread about it a couple weeks ago. Just cut the cord with Time Warner..
I bought a good "hd" antenna but I get crap channels at my location, either that or I don't know how to work it right. Aside from that I stream shows off Netflix. And for other movies, I download.
Hey Bax, you got any more detailed on those pirated live streams of Buckeye games?? I'm not sure where to begin to look... I've tried Googlin without much luck. Thanks. And good luck OP it'll be worth it!
