Our schedule is a joke, but we should make the national championship game if we go undefeated for two reasons

1) the voters. We'll probably start in the top 3 after this year's undefeated season, and a ton of starters back, especially on offense. Start high early, go undefeated, and finish high late.

2) If we go undefeated, we'll will have two consecutive undefeated seasons and a 25 game win-streak. Who was the last team to do that in a BCS conference? Miami won 34 in a row before we beat them in '02, and USC did it in 2003-05, but neither had two consecutive undefeated seasons. I believe the 1994-1995 Cornhuskers were the last team to go undefeated in two consecutive seasons.

Don't forget the Buckeyes always play a night game on the road -

I got a kick out of your coaching forest comparison, stating that Tressel's is not as impressive as Meyer's. You count both head coaches and defensive coordinators for Meyer's forest, and you include all conferences. But you count only head coaches for Tressel's forest, and only those in the Big Ten. What kind of comparison is that? Seems to me the criteria is rather suspect.......:-)

Should get MSU or Nebraska in the BIG championship game.

Waaaay too early to be discussing this. But it's also a shame that we're going to follow a bowl ban season with one that has only one marquee matchup (TSUN) as Penn State will be feeling the loss.

You mean the year we lose 4 OL? Not that we can't replace them but that's a tall order

Even if we go 13-0 and win the B1G title....we won't get a whiff of the NC game if their is another unbeaten and a 1-loss SEC team...nor should we with the dogsh*t schedule we have.

A team can only do the best they can do with the teams on their schedule...this fretting about a weak schedule has no meaning. Next year it will be tough to go undefeated for no other reason ...everyone will be shooting to knock our block off. It always takes a little luck with some wins. This year we were able to get a little luck in some of the key games. It will NOT happen every year. Let's Hope the Bucks can get their Silver Bullets humming again like in days of old. When that happens...winning will not be so dependent on scoring 35 points a game...

We should be embarrassed being in the B1G. Yes OOC schedule is old style to make it into BCS GAME but the B1G sux since like 2004. OUR conference is our own worst enemy. Yes I said it. I am not a proponent to leave the Big, but come on man, this bowl season everyone will be laughing at the B1G again. Look at the two conference champ teams and tell me you are proud to say you represent the conference? And the Buckeyes are separating the rest of the conference in recruiting so bad we will always have to carry the banner for a conference where the AD's don't get it ( see Alverez)...so next year laugh at our schedule all you want but remember the vast majority of our games will be against the B1G...
