1971 hands down

Great topic ! But you gotta list top ALBUMS of each year to truly rate this. For example, 1971 had Black Sabbath Paranoid and 1976 had Led Zep Presence, but you won't see any of those songs on a top 50 list.

71 is much better. There are far more classics on that list. 76 has too much disco. In fact, most of the late seventies would drop below most of the sixties and early seventies on my list because of all of the disco and lack of timeless classics.

Of the ones to vote it looks like 1971 has run away with it. If this poll would've been aimed at albums released instead of 'songs' for the given years it would be much closer, and maybe even favored 1976, as some have stated. It's been fun. Now, pay up, Dom!
