  • Be careful with the stars thing......simply put: they're some else's opinion of a kid, so anyone can view each kid differently. My guess is he came on late (hell, Bryant offered him so you know there was a time when not many knew about this kid) and two, he probably plays in a smaller FL division ie lesser competition.

  • i heard he runs a 4.38...size hurts speed kills...I would watch his film before complaining about stars. Not saying I want him more than Neal but understand bringing in world class 40 time football players

He means he will over sign and during spring practice or right after practice he will cut players like he did in the SEC. He will take Jordan Diamond & Kyle Dotson. He will take Camren Williams & Amari Reeves. He will take the kid from Trotwood Madison & neal from Ariz & this kid who committed to UCLA. We're playing by SEC rules now . I love it & get use to it.

  • I watched his film and the kid looked quick and he had some moves. Like other have said he looks like a backup plan and not a bad one in my opinion. The new staff is casting a wide net and seeing what they catch. They are fishing for recruits with a net not a pole. I like it.....

    We have 22, any word on our ability to take 28. The 3 extra thing - sorry I forget the rule exception? I feel there's a talent level at OSU now that lacks and getting great players in THIS year matters!

    6 early enrollees dont count from that gtotal, and Lewis and Bogard will not qualify; so count them off your list.
    Urban will not say no to
    Perkins
    Williams
    Reeves
    Dodson
    Diamond
    Neal or Caleb
    Bradley or Cox

    Thats 28 -2 = 26 or 86 total for Lewis and Bogard
    So he may give one back to
    Caleb who is an ATH who can play WR or Safety
    or to Cox

    He just has to cut some more players before September.

    What oversigning is he doing?
    He never has and he isnt now!
    He is at #80 right now and may get as high as 88 on roster, but at least 2 recruits will not qualify, a couple roster players are considering transferring, a couple players are in trouble with team rules. a couple are possible medical casualties, and a couple players can not cut it. That is at a minimum. That is not even considering annual attrition and academics.

    We certainly dont want to end up like Tressel does every year, with 79 on roster instead of 85, and give 5 or 6 walkons a schlorship and try and compete against 85 schlorship on every other team do we? Those days are over with!
    That is why 82 aschollies for three years will not affect us as bad as it would every body else. We are use to it.
    We have been operating with 79 for awhile - not 82.

    Tressel's doghouse at least allowed guys to stay on board and take their medicine. Urban doesn't even have a doghouse for guys like Gambrell and Dom Clarke--don't meet certain basic expectations and you're gone. I like it!

    Agree completely. This kid looks very fast, and presumably against decent competition in South FL. Maybe he doesn't have Neal's shiftiness, but the kid can fly.

We are just now entering sanctions from the NCAA and i know that these are separate issues, but i don't think we would want to do ANYTHING to draw more negative attention to tOSU... ON TOP OF THAT... the real reason that oversigning has not been publicly shown is because it is the SEC that is doing it which is being covered up by the beloved ESPN...     Yea you are WRONG! Learn what you are talking about.
    There are two different sets of rules.
    The BlG rule of not signing over 28 players on FEBRUARY 1st, and our first 6 early enrolles dont count since they went towards last year.
    And the NCAA rule of OSU not having over 82 on roster NEXT SEPTEMBER, NOT FEBRUARY
    We have 80 right now including 21 commitments with OConner,
    BUT we need to SUBTRACT Lewis and Bogard as they will NOT qualify,
    and there will be others that will be dismissed from this team or will transfer due to various reason before next September.

    So as of right now, Urban can take 4 more. Any more than that, some players may need to go, and I can bet the farm on a few that will go for sure.

    I also think he is pretty much a definite get if the staff really wants him. I think the 2 star rating is a little to low from what I say in the film. I would give him atleast 3 star rating but that is not my job and the video is only a sample. There might be other things that we are not seeing about him that aren't favorable.

    Either way I think that the staff can do somethings with him in the spread with that speed.
