If we could have closed out games against Duke, Kansas and a few others earlier this year, we'd be sitting pretty

    Hard to please some people.

  • Matta for President!!!!.....On second thought, we need him to stay where he is. WOW! This team has improved. Opposing guards will have a nightmare against our defense

    MCM

  • Now that was 40 minutes of non-stop defense! Craft is the best PG in the Country and Shannon Scott ain't far behind. I don't want to hear about Burke. Let's see if Burke can completely shut-down Oladipo on the defensive side and then run an offense with only one other true threat (Thomas). Burke will get his chance this weekend and he plays at home.

If we play this way (40 minutes of tough defense) the sky is the limit in the NCAAs. And, the great thing is we may only lose one guy (Ravenal) for next season. But, I must say Ravenal was tough tonight!

And, one more time, Thad Matta is one of the premier Coaches in the Country!

  • Big win.
Now beating #15 RPI Minnesota, beating #4 at the time MSU, winning at NW and now winning at #2 IU, OSU is peaking and touney seed is moving up.
We owe Illinois, beat them we get another quality win and the RPI goes up even more.

Jacquan Lyle was at this game tonight, and OSU coaches were with him last week, this was a big big national prime time win for future recruiting as well.

  • Fantastic team win! Hate IU. Got stuck living there for two years and had to constantly listen to their yapping about being the world's greatest gift to Bball, hate them!!!!!! Craft and Scott were unbelievable! Ravenel really did an outstanding job against the big Z! And, even our least favorite Teddy Bear couldn't give the game to IU, by refusing to call fouls in the final 2 minutes. Great time to be a Buckeye!!! Go Bucks!!!!

+1 Ravenel played great defensively and offensively versus MSU and Indiana. Itt boils downs to Illini and Michigan beating the Hoosiers in Ann Arbor.

A really big win for the Buckeyes. GREAT defense and we controlled the tempo the whole game. Deshaun was not at his shooting best but he played great defense and scored when we needed the points. Craft and Scott were both tremendous as were Ravenal and Williams. Thompson and Smith also played very well on both ends of the court A T E A M win if there there ever was one! This team has really finished well . . .aanother great coaching job by Thad Matta..

Williams made some key blocks versus the Hoosiers. He has got a long way to go being a Big Ten center. Ravenel played a great game. I loved seeing his grit and fire on the court.

  • Great win! Shannon Scott is pretty good. Craft is playing is playing outstanding. Matta is a great coach! He is a Top 5 coach in the nation. Deshaun stepped up also.

  • Anybody know if/when this game will be on tv again? Weather took out the DirecTV feed tonight.

  • Anybody catch the announcers calling out IU for trying to "flop" at about the 1:40 mark? They scored on that 3 pointer, then one of their guards tried to act like Craft ran him over during inbound. Announcer said "Indiana just tried a flop, it was obvious as the IU coaches were up calling for the foul before the flop happened".....

I'd be embarrassed if all my coach can come up with to bring us back in a game is to fake a bunch of fouls....Dude needs to coach Soccer, that's the sport of true floppers...

I'm being told if home teams hold serve rest of way (with Mich beating Indiana), then OSU would be 2 seed for Big Ten tourney.

The postgame ceremonies lasted nearly 90 minutes as each senior and Coach Crean spoke. They presented them a Big Ten championship trophy, took a team photo and cut down the nets. How about that?

Of course, Michigan State had to do the same after Buckeyes beat them last year.

  • Im so happy for this group of guys and Thad his staff andcall of Buckeye Nation!!! Matta has really received a lot of criticism all season but this team is coming together at the right time .. I Loved lasts years team but this team is really a bunch of hard workers and if Craft, Smith , Ross keep helping in the offense we can do some damadge you could see early they came to play very confident tonight. Sunday is huge and we will all be cheering for Burke to have a monster game.. Lol

    ohiobigtee

  • I have to admit I did not think we had the horses to beat both MSU amd IU. Especially after the Wisky game. I think Matta threatened to take away their man card. Once again he proves he is the B1G's best.

  • Man that was a huge win.....just a huge win.....did I say what a huge win it was.....?
The best they've looked all year on both sides of the ball in the same game. Got to take care of Illinois this next game......and then cheer for the skunk weasles...as much as I hate to say it......a chance at 4 in a row for Big Ten Championships...unreal....it's great to be a Buckeye!

    GO BUCKS!

  • Great game to watch.

The only bad part about the game is knowing that Ravenel is a senior and Amir will be taking over in the post next year. Unless he gets better, Trey McDonald is going to be our starting big man and get 30 minutes a night. Amir had a nice blocked shot in the last few minutes, but other than that he was out of position, out-toughed, and generally looked lost as to what he was supposed to be doing. But that's something to worry about next year. As for now, we can just enjoy the progress this team is making.
