“They were talking about the (Ohio State-Michigan) game this weekend and said they were disappointed they won’t be able to talk to me as much because there will be so many recruits there. But they said they really want me to be a Buckeye so they will have me down there in the winter.”

Berger then spoke to St. Ignatius coach Chuck Kyle about what had just happened.

“Coach Kyle had talked to them and said it was an offer,” Berger said. “I was a little surprised. That’s my first offer.” "

..... Perhaps he was just awestruck :-)... but it seemed odd to me that the young man, when talking to OSU, left not being clear that it was an offer.
It took discussing it with his coach, to realize it was one.

Is that how the story came off to you folks, or am I just reading it wrong.

Just watched his tape and it looks good to me. Closes short distanced in a hurry which is important for linebacker.

If the coaches feel the need to offer this early, DO IT! They watch 100x tape and are in everyones pocket, unlike the fans or the people "that dont get it"....

Watches his video on scouting ohio, he looked pretty impressive to me. He's got good speed and has a nose for the ball
