Love the strategy here... Finding pieces that are ready to step in and go right away that plug holes until some of the young guys develop is a great strategy.

The first thing that enters my mind when I see new offers like this...is that we are getting intel that some of our other recruits of the same position are leaning toward going to other schools. I hope that I am wrong and that this new offer is just because he is a player that they want and just discovered him...

What do you mean where would he come in and play right away? Of our 4 WR's who log the most PT....we have one graduating (Stoney), one who hasn't had a pass thrown to him since the Spring Game (Spencer), another who catches only 50% of the passes thrown to him (Smith) and one legitimate slot guy (Brown)...
There is PLENTY of room for him to play from Day 1.

Bill..I wonder if the current state of the defense will force Meyer to target more defensive prospects?..Will Meyer re-evaluate his recruiting strategy?..We need to upgrade the talent in certain positions on defense IMO..Do you think a JUCO WR is a greater need than a LBer,Safety or DE.

Excellent comments. Thanks. He is a relative of Grant. Did not know that. A good corner in HS..thanks again ! Tapping into the JC's. If it is a resource explore it, but you don't want to have to rely on it. This may spur a quick WR signing of a guy who may be dragging a bit and accelerate things too.
