I am not sure why people who now refuse to believe all the things Tressel stood for (or gave the impression he stood for) are haters! Can we not voice our displeasure in the fact he lied , covered up and knowingly tried to hide what was going on? You think if all this stuff is never found out he writes about it in a book someday? No he was playing the game. Are we no longer fans unless we continue to buy into the myth that was once Jim Tressel? Look I never wanted him replaced, gone or fired for all the conservative and boring offenses we ran and I loved the guy but if my displeasure in what I thought I knew and not being sad that he was replaced is me hating... well consider me riding shotgun with Alpha!!!

They are different kind of people, we all have met them. There are people who live their lives one way and how they interact with all others, and thier are those who interact and live their lives in a compltely other manner...

Who seems to be happier and more positive about life, those who only see that half empty glass, and the long line in front of them, or those who try to use every event in life as a reason to grow and learn.

Exactly.. see , whom to listen too, and whom to ignore, makes life easier .

I'm merely coughing up the flem, like I said in another post, and putting up my fists a bit, finally. Doesn't matter how close I am to things, I'm just a bystander like the rest of you that wanted to show some emotion in this gang fight we're witnessing. Too many have been very disrespectful. I may be inducing some type of negative behavior but in my case it's about shoving back a bit. I've sat here reading how people that still like Tressel are "sheep", we're irrational, we're drinking the Kool-aid, etc...that's really offensive to me (but come on, we're on the internet talking with strangers so I'm not gonna get too carried away) so I punched back. It's really interesting to see this unfold. I knew what I was doing. Once a shove was made back to these silly people, I knew what the response would be and the ones that are the biggest problem posted in this thread, including one really loony phone salesmen that a few people seem to like for some reason. The irony is these same people that have preached and preached on how we are supposed to think with the Tressel situation threw up when they read my post because I dared to voice my own opinion. Really sad, if you ask me.

Maybe some of those you are bashing arent hating but just trying to reason it in their minds a bit....

I was a little over the top today. Just venting too.

I guess I cannot understand all the "hate" being spewed about something that has happend, as if the reiteration of it will somehow be more important now.

I was hugely shocked when this began unfolding in December. It has been a very long six months since then, but it seems as if we are eating our own on the boards, dredging up what is done and unchangable, as if our voicing our feelings over the events will make them different or change them.

It will not.

It is however frustrating to have the same people come on the boards that are supposed to be fans of tOSU and all that entails, and yet keep on "hatin".

What positive good does that do. How does"Tressel lied" commentary contribute to supporting the bucks now?

The continued trashing of what has occurred does not contribute anything positive to this site or the program.

I think the conversations are fine until someone interjects emotions or takes something personally. I think no matter what side of the coin you are on with JT that is fine. You have earned the right to be on that side of the coin. Of course people still love him but those who no longer believe in all the things he preached and stood for have earned the right to do so as well. We need to stop trying to force our opinions and tell people what they should believe and why. It is a task of futility. Alpha has said from day 1 he did not like Tress...that is his right and I respect him immensly for not waivering. He is not required to like the coach and if he wanted a less conservative coach then more power to him. I think JT is great off the field and I know he is not a liar to the people he meets. However for the football program he did exactly that. It is what it is but he put us in harms way and I am not upset he is replaced. I would sit and have dinner with the guy anytime however as I like him. Differing opinion and emotion will never go away on a fan base this large... it is better to say your piece and agrre or disagree then to make it personal and try to fight what you cannot change.

Boxley sometimes people just have to vent to get it out... that is why we have message boards.

All i ever said was that Tress was a good man, but when he was witnessed killing that bus load of children and then being found guilty of raping those 2 grandmothers in Worthington, I was no longer going to wear my sweatervest out in public.
