Jim Carrey, (I like to laugh) Bob Knight Bill Oreilly Gary Burbank Theodore "Dutch" Van Kirk (would have said Paul Tibbets if he were still living)

Bob Knight is a good choice. Very cerebral and patriotic. I watched him on a televison show called "The Fishin' Hole" with Jerry McGinnis back in the 80's and Bobby said that the 8 greatest words ever uttered were, "America, America, God shed His Grace on thee..." Surprised me but I appreciated the sentiment.

  • #1 - Nikola Tesla: the smartest human being to ever live.

#2 - Edgar Cayce: greatest psychic to ever live.

#3 - Egyptian Pyramid Architects: really would like to know how much " help " they had to construct & build those structures in ancient times that can't be duplicated with modern technology over 5,000 yrs later.

#4 - Any scientist or military personnel that is brave enough to talk about their experiences at [ area 51 ]

#5 - Tupac Shakur: no explanation needed.

    1. Bob Marley 2. Teddy Roosevelt 3. Thomas Jefferson 4. Jerry Garcia 5. Dalai Lama

(The last two are expendable. I've just always wanted to meet and have a conversation with the first three. I often wonder how they would view the world if they were to transport here today.)

Other notables: Niccolo Machiavelli, Milton Friedman, Plato, Leonidas, Jesus, Bodhidharma, Dante Aligheri, Leonardo Davinci, Galileo, Albert Einstein, Sir Isaac Newton, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Payne, Ayn Rand, Alexis De Tocqueville, George Patton, Sun Tzu, Miyamoto Musashi, Geronimo and Achilles.

Wth the exception of Jefferson, I prefer any other four of your notables to your existing top five. Methinks you are quite the student of history.

Nikola Tesla would have been my #1 but I thought we could only use living ppl. History has shunned him, but the dude blew Edison out of the water.

That's a shame, too bad that happened. Wasn't he a part of seal team 6 that WAs shot down in their chopper? God bless our troops.

That's not true, it was an internet rumor that got blown way out of proportion. He isn't in combat, and he didn't kill Osama. lol.

That you would like to meet (other than former Buckeyes or girls you want tap)and spend a few hours or the day with just because they fascinate you and why you want to meet them. You can name more than five, its just a common number.

    1. Will Smith- I've heard some comments from him about his successes that I'd like to hear more about
    2. Tommy Lee Jones- I think he is psychotic genius, would like to be sure
    3. Anthony Bourdain- dude is badass cool
    4. Warren Buffett- I've read 3 biographies
    5. Jeb Bush- lived in Florida when he was Gov. Hands down the smartest one in the family, will never get a shot at the whitehouse, would like to hear his opinion of how his family handled things and what he would do if he got the chance.

  • My list would not be just limited to the living. In general, I don't give a crap about any musicians, movie stars, or sports stars. I like each of those....but I am not one that would be "impressed" by meeting any one in those categories.

    My all-time list....

    1. Ronald Reagan

    2. Bob Hope (for his decades of service and experiences; plus, he was a Buckeye.)

    3. Abraham Lincoln

    4. My relatives who served in the Civil War

    5. Geo. Washington

  • I'm baffled by people who would choose to hang out with moviestars. Possibly there is confusion with the stars and the roles they play.

I would dearly love to have a few hours of conversation with my dad. He died in 1982.

Robert E Lee was a brilliant military tactician and a gentleman, what questions I would have.

CS Forester wrote military fiction based on fact, another brilliant military mind.

It would really be fun to apply Abe Lincoln's sensibility to today's issues.

Finally Woody, I was lucky enough to have some conversations with him (mostly about
    history). He was cool.

Do they have to be alive, there are some people who passed I would've wanted to spend time with.

Amelia Earhart ( WTH happened, where did you go?) Bigfoot Ronald Reagan Roberto Clemente Muhammed Ali Jackie Robinson

Clemente is my favorite baseball player ever even though I have never been a Pirates fan. Great human being as well.
