Basketball columnist Lee Caryer had a chance to discuss Shannon Scott's progress and thought process in picking OSU with his famous father and former UNC star Charles Scott.
Great column as usual. Glad to see a super star player and son in the Scott's being patient. It is paying off this season.
Thanks Lee, for another outstanding column.
One of the more compelling articles I've read on line in a long while! Nicely done.

Just great reading, per usual!
I also was taken back a little Saturday about the Indiana plays harder. Did not seem right but I respect his opinion.
That was outstanding. What a treat to get such perspective from an insightful man not only about his son, but about basketball history, college, pro and Olympics. Thanks Lee and thank Charlie Scott for us.
Good read. Enjoy your articles. Lots of insight.
Good article. I still miss Diebler. If we would have his shooting ability, we would have won it all last year. We would be a much better team this year too.
Buckeye Fan Since 1970!!!
I MUST go a little Bucknuts every day.
Shannon has been excellent this year! I am very thankful that he stayed at OSU. It will be interesting to see how well Scott and Craft play against Michigan's great PG. I think they will put a lot of pressure on him and it will be a positive match-up from our standpoint!
Lee, exceptional work as always. I learn more about the history, tradition, and the real sport of basketball reading your column than I do with a weeks worth of ESPN!!
Thank you Lee. Shannon is an important part of the Buckeye 2012-2013 basketball team and it was great to learn a little bit more about him and his father.
Great job as always, Lee.
Here is our preview on OSU-Winthrop with videos with Matta, Thomas and Thompson:
I didnot understand your grandfathers quote "Too soon old; To late smart"?
Great article as always Lee, thank you.
