All-Ohio (with 2014 OSU verbals Jae'Sean Tate and Dave Bell) will host its annual All-Ohio Nike Cup tournament this weekend in Columbus.
This is a tune-up for national events in the weeks ahead.
They will play three pool play games on Saturday at the New Covenant Believers Church Focus Center at 3400 Kohr Road in Cols. (this is off of Innis between Sunbury Road and Westerville Road on the northeast side, really nice facility there).
They will play the Ohio Hoopsters at 2 p.m., the Elite Sports 16s at 5 p.m. and the Team Ohio 16s at 8 p.m. at Court 1 at that facility.
Bracket play will be on Sunday. I have not seen that schedule but it figures to be midday on Sunday (if I know when I will post it). I hope to get there Sunday, although my son is also playing in a bkb event this weekend.
Here is the tentative travel schedule for the All-Ohio 17 team:
They were in Milwaukee last weekend for the NY2LA Sports Swish-N-Dish
April 19-21 -- Nike EYBL in Los Angeles
April 26-28 -- Nike EYBL in Hampton, Va.
May 3-5 -- Spiece Run N Slam in Fort Wayne (I will be there)
May 10-12 -- Nike EYBL in Dallas
May 18-19 -- All-Ohio Nike Super Showcase in Cols.
May 24-27 -- Nike EYBL at Minneapolis
June 28-30 -- All-Ohio/Ohio Hoopsters Pre-National Tune-up in Cols June 28-30
July 10-14 -- Nike EYBL Finals at the Peach Jam, North Augusta, SC
July 18-21 -- Big Shots Myrtle Beach
July 23-28 --- AAU Super Showcase at Disney Florida
July 28-Aug. 2 -- AAU Nationals at Disney Florida
Tate and likely Bell will attend the skills academies in late June and the LeBron Academy in early July. They may also be at the Nike Global Challenge event in July before the Florida events.
They may also be at the NBAPA top 100 camp in June (usually in Virginia).

At Milwaukee, All-Ohio Red lost a game to Illlinois Wolves, the AAU team of OSU 2014 signee Keita Bates-Diop. Tate had 15 in that loss. My presumption is that Bates-Diop will be at a lot of the same events.

I'm REALLY interested in how Bell performs at these AAU/camp events. Good or bad he will be exposed going up against talent equal or greater to his size & skill.
His development is crucial because it will determine how big of loss losing Okafor will be.

I'm going tomorrow and hope I like what I see out of Bell live for the first time. His height listing has been all over the place so if nothing else I'll get a sense for how tall he truly is.

Bell was a no-show this weekend, he took ACT on Sat apparently
All-Ohio won their own tournament something like 61-52 over All-Ohio Black
Tate had 14 points in the title game, look for some video with him this week
