Meyer hasn't even been here a year and people are already paranoid about recruiting. Gotta love Buckeye fans.

IMHO, the OP is getting way too anxious way too soon because:
- he expects Meyer & Co. to operate the same way Tressel operated (generally happy with the best we can get from Ohio);
- he forgets that Tressel (or most teams) seldom had a bunch of kids at this point either;
- he forgets/discounts that Meyer is a recruiting star who always ends up with a great class;
- he forgets we sucked last year, have an entirely new staff and systems (that kids might want to see in action here before committing to);
- he sees scUM and ND off to good/great classes and apparently thinks that implies OSU will have a lesser class.

Spring ball (and visits to watch Spring practice and the Spring game) hasn't even started yet. We've got Friday Night Lights in our pocket for the first time. We're going to have a great season this fall...meaning those game visits will be more impressive.

So, did it hurt missing on Bivin and McGovern...sure. Is Zaire a loss...eh, maybe. Can we still fill the class with GREAT friggin players at all our positions of need...ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY!!!!!!

It is not time to put on a life-jacket and run for a lifeboat. Let the Rock Star with 2 Natl. Titles work his plan. You'll have plenty of time to worry next January if we haven't lined up a kick-ass class and/or have a January like we did this year.

I think the OP is worried more about numbers. He sees a lot of the kids going other places and he probably think there isn't going to be enough left. Like was mentioned before we are not taking a very big class anyway. We'll get ours. There are still a lot of recruits left that OSU is in good shape with.

I think the downvote was because you were argumentative in your reply and didn't really address what he stated in his post. He didn't mention Michigan having 16 recruits or the Buckeyes having only 5. Obviously, the concern is that other schools are taking our plan B guys from in-state and if Meyer doesn't land what would appear to be an impossible number of the elite recruits that he has targeted we will end up with 3* recruits. I don't share his concern. I realize that this will be a small class and we are still in on a ton of elite prospects. There are also at least 2 in-state guys that are leans to Ohio State, but it is March and most kids don't commit that soon. Also, Pocic favors Ohio State. Add them to this class and it is half-full. Very wise of Meyer to take the slow approach. I still understand the concern, though. We will need to fill about 8 more slots with kids that aren't leaning to OSU, seriously considering going elsewhere - and we don't appear to have a fallback plan. I trust that Meyer has more information than I do and that things will work out in the end.

I didn't down vote you, by the way. I save those for the hard-core asses who use the word "douche" or some derivative thereof or other name-calling rants. Not that it matters. I make liberal use of the "ignore this poster" feature, but I don't believe that you have crossed that line either.

Do some homework, many of those Ohio kids we did not offer, and some have committal offers.
Fox's parents are UofM grad's, wht a surprise. Logan TT grew up a UofM fan, what a surprise.
Lets see if McGovern stays with ND, they are in for another six loss season and recruits bailed and defected from ND late last year.
