Like all Bucknutters, I had a smile on my face when I awoke at 3am in the morning today about our great victory over Iowa State to put us into the Sweet 16. I have since rewatched the 2nd half of the game twice, and the Craft winning shot about 10 times.
My commets: PRAISE: 1) Q is going to be a great player for the Buckeyes before he leaves here...he is making great strides towards that hertiage right now. His 10 points in 3 minutes was a thing of bueaty....in that mix he also had a key rebound......he will need to work on his ball handling skills to prevent turn-overs..I think that will come....this kid has NBA moves and wiht patience and practice could easily put up 30 in one night. 2) PRAISE: I love the "small " team concept.....Matta ran the last 3 minutes of the ISU game ,and the last 10 minutes of the Wisconsin game. Very effective....their athletic ability, length, quickness and speed off sets any other advantages of height by the opposition. 3 CONCERN:The post position has to be a great dissapointment to Thad....last night we got a total of 2 points from Ravenal(1) and Williams(1) and no baskets..we also got a total of 4 rebounds (2 each per big man). Ravenal continues his Dr Jeykl -Mr Hyde impression for each game....that needs fixing before we get to LA....Williams plays like he is 6'4", wearing combat boots in wet cement..and has gloves on his hands made of stone....don't want to give up on him yet, but the "fat lady" is going to the microphone.
4) CONCERN: Of course I am glad for the Craft shot, but in that close game, Thomas did not touch the ball in the last 4 minutes.......if we don't fix that it will cost us...nothing on our plyboodk is more effective than getting him the ball in the low post or close to the paint and letting him create his shot.......when things get tough..that is where we will need points...not from a 30 ft shot by Smith....I hope we remember that...
5) CONCERN: we were outrebounded 36-22 in that game....we are better than that.....2nd chance shots and points were big for ISU... they kept say that ISU was getting the long chromes off the iron,,,sorry I saw us being out hustled for the ball time after time., not blocking out, etc...........again, PRAISE: I loved the win.......somehow we pulled it off........but we have a lot of things to work on before we play Thursday night in LA!
Oh yes one other comments my wife yelled at me.....Clark Kellogg....can't you just once, act like you are a Buckeye? Geeze.....it too obvious going the other way so far.......I know you don't want to show favortisim....but....ha ha....

Coyoungin on twitter. Circular square movement.
My biggest comment is not getting Amir off the floor sooner after he starts....I would almost want to start our small lineup and then bring Rav's for energy, but I just don't get the Amir still starting thing...honestly, he can't take simplest of bounce passes and catch and go to the rim with out fumbling it...I just don't understand it....Can someone out there with more bball sense than me explain why he is still starting?
