THIS has got to stop! We know Urban knows what it takes to make it to the league, but we can't wonder why the SEC has been dominate. When you have elite players and compete against elite players> your game improves. We will step up with Urban at the helm, but the rest of the Big 10 needs to get their shit together!
Doesn't mean they were good picks. With the SEC propaganda, I am surprised it wasn't 32. The SEC is the best conference, but after watching the bowl games this year, they are not that far ahead of everyone else. Bama maybe, but no one else.
Hash tag #oversigning
,Fwiw. Nat'l sports guy, I can't remember his name, was on Morning Joe with this story. Remarked that the 12 would have an easy transition because they've already been paid. Ouch!!! Did not get much argument from Joe Scarborough, bama grad,or Willie Geist, vandy, who just said "not my school".
So we are counting Missouri & Texas A&M ?..
Btw 1st round doesnt mean you are going to be successful or good picks. Its the bottom of the NFL picking afterall.
Too logical, too obvious, too simple, therefore unacceptable to this board...
From a personnel standpoint, they are far ahead of everybody else. NFL owners, GM's and scouts don't give a damn about any "propoganda" machine, they're paid to evaluate players and put their respective teams in contention or they lose their jobs.
They must be doing something right down there or they wouldn't be so far ahead of every other conference in the past half decade plus in terms of upper round picks, OOC matchups, bowl wins, national titles, etc. I'd say when 1 conference has won 7 in a row and players from that league occupy more than a third of the 1st round picks, they're pretty far ahead.

Ohio state gets no slack either. How many first rounders did we have?
That's not the only reason why. Spring football, oversigning, population migration, loose acedemics, and straight up cash homie...
How many players do we have currently in the NFL? One or two down years is nothing to get overly worried about.
Spot on. It really doesn't matter. The draft is a crapshoot and there will be plenty of Big Ten players in the league regardless.
A lot of teams have a lot of players in the nfl but this is a what have you done for me lately world and we have done nothing lately.
Well go jump on the bandwagon of some other team then.

aint stopping, its about geography.. better studs in the south,, period,, urb will get his share but big 10 will never catch sec.
NFL owners, player personnel guys & coaches don't make picks based on "SEC" propaganda... They invest a helluva a lot of money based on performance history. There are no guarantees who pans out but just like the recruits who are "5" stars, they usually are graded on their athletic ability. Why do we get excited when we get highly rated recruits??? Because percentage wise, they are a better bet. NFL draft is no different.
agree with Husker Buck....
besides Alabama -
what other SEC team is clearly head and shoulders above?
GameCocks got took to the wire by Scum
Nebraska shell shocked still from Wisconsin .... kinda almost kept up with Georgia.
Northwestern won a game.
Florida lost to Big East team .....

I talked about how bare the cupboards were when Urban took over. Tressel's last three recruiting classes were highly rated, but full of a lot of busts/transfers for an elite program like TOSU. Obviously, people in the NFL agree with me.
Cleveland Orchestra Baby!! World's greatest!! The Brown's wet dream is to be them. The Ohio State University-Where the Illibuck Lives!
