As many know, at a time when Twitter was gaining a good foothold as an information source, I/we used to keep it up daily, with comments from the coaches, players, and past OSU players.
When you read back through it, it's cool to see the history, to go along with the football setting/results of the past months.
It took us beyond the box s core so to speak.
It was fun, but it did get time consuming. However, that's not the real reason I stopped doing it.
I stopped because twitter had become a relatively common place for info, and the better/informative tweets were being quoted anyway in articles by our fine staff, and sportswriters in general.
Also, just as importantly, many of you folks started using twitter, which was a welcomed turn, in that little is missed.
Often though, the most important tweets we found were worth their own thread. So, rather than duplicate them, I forwent the recorded history angle and stopped doing the daily tweets.
We really haven't missed much at all, but there is that back-history that was interesting to review.
Trivial as it is, there is no reason to record in a separate post, things like back up QB @JustinSiems17 engagement yesterday ( http://bit.ly/WgrtvL ) to his girl Christina ( http://bit.ly/XEodaj ).
Additionally, we're also missing some of the daily activity/humor/events these players/coaches engage in.
We're missing what is revealed about the personality behind the person, who they hang with, things that at taking their time during the week, that may affect how they play on Saturday.
Anyway, cutting this wordy thread down a bit... Among other posters prior to it, and about a month ago, BBucksorBeGone8, NOxplode994, TJMMBuckeyes, ELITE44 (for mod) , South_Olentangy, my buddy Foubazzi, and the infamous JCMLAS all commented about a month ago and encouraged giving the thread a heartbeat again.
Would the interest be there for us to do it as a team?
I'll try to follow the list of players I have, and record what I see on a kind-of-regular basis, but it would be a better thread if anyone and everyone who saw something you determined was even half-worthy, would bring it back and post it.
Woody and Archie.................................. Alex being Alex, ....................................and Woody at Dennison
Sounds good to me!
Hells yeah man. That thread was one of my all time favorites.
Our quarterback does front flips, suck it.
