So Alex Collins' mom apparently stole his LOI and RAN AWAY with them in an attempt to stop him from signing with Arkansas
who want want to play for hogface?
I was just watching that on ESPNU. Every year provides some bizarre recruiting story, how embarrassing does that have to be for the kid.
Ran away from Bret Beliema! It was hilarious on ESPN when they asked him about Alex and he couldn't say anything but that he didn't have an LOI!
She is smart. She saw Bert and freaked out
When everyone runs out...we run in. Support your firemen.
I'm not sure which is more embarrassing: this or Landon Collins' mom outwardly disappointed in her son's decision on national TV...this one is definitely funnier though
That's a good mom right there. There is just something about that Bielema that makes me uncomfortable.
Nothing will ever top what Landon Collins mom did on national tv.
That won't be a nice house to visit for a long time...
Probably why he wants to get away from craziness like that
Landon Collins and now Alex Collins. Doubt they are related, but what an unlucky last name to have on National Signing Day.
Parent of the year award right there, I like to think we'd all do it if our kid was signing with BB
BIELMA! He will be about 3 fitty after a couple of years of southern food!
The mom is accusing them of improper recruitment...
"Ms. McDonald understands that Alex has received consent from his father who has signed the letter-of-intent for him ... to play football for the University of Arkansas. However, our client's initial intentions remain unchanged. ... She is a loving and caring mother who only wants her son to choose a university without any outside and inappropriate influences ... Ms. McDonald hopes all NCAA rules and regulations were followed during today’s signing. ... She is not seeking any personal financial gain because her only concern is for Alex's happiness and well being. ... The Cochran Firm is standing by Ms. McDonald in this difficult time ... and has made all of the firm's resources available to her as she explores her options.”
I don't know what she is trying to do here. Even if his LOI is nullified he still has scholarship papers signed to Arkansas so he can go there. All that she can do is buy some time to try to talk him into Miami, but he has a scholarship at Arkansas if he wants it.
I'm assuming everyone has the story of the Arkansas 18 yr. old RB commit Alex Collins momma taking his LOI and running from the school while refusing to sign it. Apparently, NCAA rules state "The signature of a parent or legal guardian is required for a student-athlete under the age of 21 for a binding agreement with an NCAA member institution to be valid. You can vote for the President of USA, get a loan, buy a pack of smokes, join the military, but god forbid if your momma wants nothing to do with BYE-ENEMA which is completely understandable and funny as hell. Luckily his dad stepped up and signed the papers so he can get away from Florida and his momma even if he had to sell his soul to do it.
Wow she hired the Cochran form, of the late Johnny Cochran. Her Bret if the Spandex doesn't fit you must you must quit!
