I haven't yet.
Ripped off this from the ozone:
He said he had such an emotional reaction when he was inducted into the OSU Hall of Fame at halftime of an OSU football game. Said he was surprised at how the fans welcomed and cheered him.
On the way home his wife asked why he seemed so down. He said over the years he'd had several chances to be the basketball coach at Ohio State and he didn't choose to do that. He said he realized after the ceremony at the stadium that he was sorry that he had never taken the Ohio State job.
That is really cool!
When the 1960 National Championship team was celebrated at the Schott on their 50th anniversary back in 2010, the crowd gave Coach Knight a very large ovation. You could see he was emotionally choked up for a moment when that happened. He did not appear to be expecting such a warm greeting. That was probably the first time Bob Knight had been cheered by an Ohio State crowd since he played his last game as a Buckeye.
Knight was also sporting a Buckeye hat on the episode.

Yes, Just like the Jack Nicklaus show, this was very heavy on both guys love for OSU and how important it is in their lives. Interesting seeing Knight wearing OSU ballcaps and scarlet and gray sweater shirts.
I am a classmate of Bobby and a freshman BB player (before i realized that I belonged in intermurals lol). I have often wondered if Bobby did not regret accepting one of the several approaches that OSU made to him, especially after that asshole he had for a President that he had in Indiana (Brand) showed his colors. Bobby was no doubt emotional as a coach, but he NEVER coached at any time except by the rules and in what you thought was just not the letter of the regulations, but the spirit of them as well. One can only imagine the love he would have behind him always at OSU, Hiring him out of ARMY as Fred was retiring wqould have been the right move for everybody..
What a bittersweet ending
I was at the Hall of Fame dinner the night before and got a chance to sit next to him. He didn't each much because everyone wanted either a photo or a autograph. He gave a great speech and was very funny. Urban came by to say hi to him and to us with a small speech of his own. It was a fantastic night and I felt lucky to be invited and honored to be an alumni.
I always wondered why he never took the job. I guess I had the chance to ask but didn't. Thanks for posting.
