I was wondering if anybody wanted to tell some stories about the best and worst meetings theyve ever had with any buckeye athletes.
Personally I never had an encounter with a player that I would consider the best. Most of them have been really pleasant. Ross Homan, Alex Stepanovich, Nick Mangold, Mike Adams, Cam Heyward and Bryant Browning were all just generally friendly people to meet.
The worst I ever saw was Brian Hartline acting up at Raising Cane's one night. He was drunk and causing a ruckus. The cop who guards the entrance asked him to calm down. Harline shouted "do you know who i am?" Then he kept getting behind the cop while making obscene gestures. The cop then kicked him out. Hartline generally seems alright, but pulling the "do you know who i am" card was pretty douchey.
Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son.

Shook Orlando Pace hand at mid field after the Buckeyes knocked off # 2 PSU. 1996 I believe.
My dad who is a pastor sat next to Woody Hayes at a High School Graduation. Woody was the guest speaker. My dad said Woody was so friendly and talked his ear off. Towards the end of the conversation Woody asked my Dad if he was an OSU grad. When my Dad said no, he was a BGSU grad, Woody turned and didn't say another word to him. Ha, Woody loved OSU that much!
In the words of the late great Colonel Sanders "I'm too drunk to taste this chicken!"
I met Cris Carter outside of St. Johns arena when he was still in college and all I can say was he was a dick! Chris Speilman's brother was the funniest person I have ever met. He was talking about how he would lay the wood and im not talking football! He was talking to an OSU coach inside of the WHAC...funny as hell!
had class with sabino and jamie wood and helped them with some studies, really nice guys. had an encounter at subway with sanzenbacher after the spring game really nice guy, couldn't believe he was a football player because of how small he was. Met ross homan tailgating and had a beer with him, he was really cool, said he was cut from the vikings because of concussion problems. My dad and uncle both had archie in their classes and both said they only saw him the first day of class and at exams lol.
I took my son and one of his friends to a WWE show. We had good seats. Two rows back on the floor and right behind the table where Jerry Lawler and the other announcer set. Right before the show starts, James Laurinaitis and crew walk in and set right in front of us. My son has his Laurinaitis jersey on. They went up and asked for an autograph and they both ended up standing in front of Laurinaitis all night. He treated both boys like they were his little brothers. He even used his WWE connections to get them some wrestler autographs and some chat time with Jerry "the king" Lawler.
The guy was a 100% class act.
I used to work for a company that hired football players for summer help during the Cooper years. Some were really good people. But some of them were the most arrogant and lazy people I had ever been around in my life. I'm not naming names but a few of them were real jerks.
Had a friend bump into cris carter ....said he was an asshole
