I see Ohio st 13-0, wisc 11-1,penn st could go 10-2 or as bad as 8-4.The rest of our division stinks although purdue and Indiana may be around 6-6 at best .I expect Illinois to continue to be inconsistent and not exceed 6-6 either.
I see mich st 10-2 going to play us in big ten championship based off favorable schedule. I see Nebraska 10-2 but a harder conf schedule may cost them. Northwestern won't sneak up on anybody but should get 3rd while I see Michigan at 7-5 and Iowa and Minnesota continue to struggle.
I don't think Wisky goes 11 - 1 with new coach. I like the new hire but think they are going to miss a couple steps. Penn St will prob finish 2nd in division again, of course they are irrelevant in terms of where they finish. I also think MSU is going to have a down year, they are losing a lot and heavily rely on the ground game with no proven RB. I think we are going to be playing TTUN in back to back weeks for the first time in history.
Have u looked at the conference schedules?
I think Mich St is going to surprise ppl after they get beat by ND They have 4 conf cupcakes before they host Michigan then they play at Nebraska and lose then a toss up gm at NW.Followed by A soft gopher team. Worst case is they go 9-3 I think they go 10-2.
I might be in the minority but see an OSU vs NW championship game next yr.
I don't see Penn State at 8-4, 7-5 best case scenario. Wisky will be 10-2.
You seen penn states schedule?
They will lose @ oh st and Wisconsin.
But they get mich and Neb at home so I think they have a chance of winning those 2 gms and the other 4 games Look very winnable.
Michigan does not have a cupcake schedule like they did when they went to Orange Bowl.
They have a ND gm and they should win @ Uconn . But their Confrence schedule :
@ penn st
@ mich st
I think they should be happy at 7-5. If they don't beat ND and uconn it could get ugly
Wisconsin might lose at Ariz St but I can't see a loss to BYU at home.
They will lose to us but their Confrence schedule is easy no other tough road gms outside of playing us. Home gm vrs northwestern and penn st are they only difficult gms.
Ahh, Nebraska's schedule got exponentially easier this year, they dropped Ohio State and Wisconsin from their first two years in the Big Ten, and added hapless Illinois and Purdue. Instead of starting Big Ten play with OSU and Wisconsin and going 1-1, they go 2-0.
They also have Northwestern and MSU in Lincoln.
Nebraska is 2-0 vs Penn State, their offense will be too much for Penn State again.
The above reason, an easier schedule with their loaded offense, is why Phil Steele, CBS Sports and others have Nebraska vs. OSU for the Big Ten title, and OSU in the title game and Nebraska in the Rose Bowl.
UofM's schedule is harder at Penn State for a night game, at MSU, at Northwestern and Ohio State.
As most years, most OSU fans overvalue UofM's talent, and do no keep in mind how average the coaching and talent development is, with not much team speed.
Just like last year when everyone was picking UofM in the Rose Bowl, I picked 8-5.
8-5 this year again. Very overhyped product and not much team speed. Gardner goes down and they have to go to Morris, they could have a losing season, and QB's get hurt all the time.
Nebraska vs. OSU for the Big Ten Title in Indy.
To Michigan State, I think they can win 9 or 10 games. Their OL was decimated with injuries last year, and they have some elite young WR's. QB play has to get better, and they have a dual threat kid coming in for special packages there.
MSU's front seven on defense will be tough, another top 20 defense.
Michigan State beats Michigan in East Lansing, Dantonio wins his 5th game in 6 vs. UofM.

I agree. Everyone is down on MSU and the question I have is why? Those young WR's will be a year old. Burbrige, Lippett, and Arnett...then they have Mumphrey...IMO they will have a top 4 WR corps hands down. The backup QB looked better than Maxwell did in the bowl game. I think MSU is gonna surprise the people not paying attention.
IMO our side comes down to OSU/Wisc...we get them at home.
The other side comes down to NW/MSU/Neb
I honestly think our schedule ends up being tougher than people think. I think Wisconsin ends up being a top 10 team and NW top 20. I think PSU will be better than people think.
Iowa is a wildcard that has the potential to be much better than last year.
The Wisc/NW games will determine if we go undefeated.
I might tune in for a few Arkansas games. I love watching Bert fall on his dumb face.
After 3 cup cake games to start Arkansas has these final 9 games:
At Rutgers, Texas A and M, at Florida, South Carolina, at Bama, Auburn, at Ole Miss, Miss State and at LSU.
6-6 would be a lot of luck for Beilema, somehow his ability to lose at least one game a year he should, Arkansas going like 5-7 and the honey moon for Bert being over is more likely.
Michigan will go no worse then 3-2 in those games....most likely 4-1.
They will play Ohio St in the B1G title game.
Another missperception OSU fans have....Devin Gardner will be much better then buckeye Nation expects him to be.....

Michigan has @MSU L, @ NW L, @ PSU Toss, and @ Iowa Toss that's not easy at all.
Indiana will be better, Minny will be better, NEB L, and OSU L.
ND and @ UCONN.
Michigan will not be playing for the B10 championship. Wildcard teams this year are Iowa, PSU, Indiana, and Minny...I think Minny and Indiana are better but we don't know how much better. PSU and Iowa could be very dangerous especially at their places.
I tend to agree with this thinking. Indiana is going to be better which means they will be 7-5 or even 8-4. I think PSU will be much better than expected as well.
It's OSU's to lose at this point.
I know most don't care about the rest of the B1G but I for one would like to see them shine throughout with one notable exception.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
What it boils down to is we need to root for B10 teams we play in their OOC schedule...WE ALSO NEED TO ROOT AGAINST B10 teams we don't play when they play the teams we do play.
We need SDSU,Buffalo, and Cal to win...the bad part is Cal also plays NW in their OOC schedule.
We also need to play someone like NEB or MSU in the B10 Championship. I don't think playing NW twice will mean as much as playing someone we haven't.
We need NEB to beat UCLA OOC...I think its likely we face them in the B10 Championship.
Why does everyone keep overlooking us playing scUM in the B1G title game?
I don't get it...
You really seem them being 7-5? You're being a little to much of a homer.... Michigan is going to be good this year, they'll beat ND, PSU, maybe lose to Neb and NW, and of course us.
But they could easily beat Neb and NW. Michigan isnt in the same category as they were when they had RichRod, they have talent.
Anyways, I see us beating Michigan, then having to face them again in the B1G Title Game and beating them worse... followed by NW, Wisc, Neb and PSU.

The thing about Michigan is we will not know who they are until the season, they still have not shown a running game and will be depending on a true freshman to make that explosive, they lost there deep threat in roundtree and do not have any real explosive playmakers on the outside, there OL will be young and inexperienced, there DL is in the same boat, and there DB are rather unimpressive, I do agree the Gardner will not be there issue but I also think some OSU fans and most Michigan fans are overrating him based on a small body of work, I mean after all Michigan fans are comparing him to Vince young and Colin knapernick!
I agree, but those things you listed are basically the same as our situation.... we will be starting an inexperienced DL for the most part, and probably LB and at least 1 DB will be a freshman IMO.
We will also be starting some young WR's, but will have an experienced OL, RB and QB so that should save us in a lot of situations.
The difference is our younger players for the most part got valuable experience last year, Washington, spence, ect. Our WR will be deeper and more experienced than last year, our OL just replacing one spot and it was the teams most consistent unit on the team, plus the key difference OSU coming off a 12-0 season so they are already more talented than the 5 loss Michigan team that is still in transition, I would contend they are more reliant on there young players where our's are just elements we are going to sprinkle in, ie Marshall, Wilson, Apple, ect.
Because everyone does not buy the typical preseason hype, they have 49 losses this 2000 era and no Big Ten titles since 2004, and that is with consistent top 10 recruiting classes, and picked to win the Big Ten several times.
Mediocre talent development and S and C program just like Lloyd Carr, this is a cookie cutter regime.
Gardner is so great based off of what? Putting up big stats against worthless Minnesota and Iowa, and losing to OSU and SC? He as horrible against OSU in the second half, and he played a lot vs. MSU for DRob and was awful.
Same theme I have seen for Henne, Mallet, Robinson, Forcier and those types, beat the sub par teams and lose to good ones.
You picking UofM, I don't get it either?
UofM's only, take one step and play and bust a long TD Robinson is gone, they have no elite speed guys.
The best defensive player Ryan is probably out all year as well.
UofM in the title game, I don't get it.
Most OSU fans, and coaches, players and fans at MSU, Nebraska, Penn State, Northwestern and Wisconsin ain't buying the UoM hype either, most expect to beat them any more and this 2000 era have.
Some do not want to live in the past.

Gardner practiced all Spring and Fall at WR last season, NOT QB....
He will be better then D-Rob...mark my words.
And the thought that someone else said that the "other" half of the B16 will be decided between Neb, Sparty and NW....and NOT scUM is ludicrous...
Rich Rod was a putz. Although I think Hoke is a moron he is light years better as a coach then Rich Rod. Not only that, he has brought some much needed stability to TTUN.
I don't want to root for scUM to do well, but the B1G is better when scUM is relevant. They won't finish 7-5.
I cannot believe I am sitting here justifying why scUM will be good. It makes me sick to my stomach.
Check back In November.
Respected guys like Phil Steele and other outlets have the same, Nebaska in the Rose and UoM in the Gator Bowl vs. Ole Miss. Like many of us and not you, they do their homework and realize UofM is not an elite program any more.By the sounds of this thread and results, you are the ludricous one.
Keep telling yourself UofM Is back under Hoke, the 9-3 Carr years are right around the corner again.
How do you figure hoke is "light years" ahead of rich rod as a coach? Based on past history and success that would be an incorrect statement
No no. I never said they were "back" I am only saying they are better. Much better then they were under Rich Rod both on the field and in recruiting.
I guess we will see what happens in 10 weeks....until then, I have some "homework" to do....
