Houston, number 5 FB is the country rated 3 star by Rivals, does not show up on our class or our ranking because he is a prefered walk on.
Why is it just the scolly kids show up on "who makes up the class" and what our class ranking are?

Good question...and I had no idea he was that highly ranked (I know it is just as a FB, but #5 overall is still pretty impressive)
Yeah no joke. I would see if it we're a linemen or receiver but considering we'll only have one or two fb's on the roster that gives immediate playing time. I would also think he'd get a scholly in years when another spot opens or at least y his sr years once the limit is back to 85.
I really love the fact that we're getting kids to walk-on who could've gotten schollies elsewhere (albeit to smaller schools)....and this is a little OT, but what ever became of Burger? Go Coach Urb!!
You see that sign that says 'Rib Tips'??
People get too wound up over recruit rankings.

You're aware that you are on a recruiting website right?

still no answer, this kid is a stud by Rivals, why are we just hearing about him and why do the non scolly kids not show up on our class numbers (he would be 18) or our class rankings?
Because there is no reason to track them. They don't count towards anything so why add them to rankings of teams with commits of scholarship players? It becomes an entirely different system to all the recruiting services if you do that. They aren't part of a "class", they're there to practice with the team and play scout team and hopefully they get to play some day until their eligibility runs out. Kind of silly to compare them to actual scholarship players. Plus, for those that flip out everytime OSU falls a spot, imagine if a one star guy decides to walkon over an offer from Grand Valley State and counts toward the rankings...people would shit over why the guy is bringing their scores down. Houston just happens to have 3 stars on one site. Anything lower and I guarantee you wouldn't be posting this question.
