More butthurt coming
Dantonio gets into a knife fight with Urban Meyer and decides to employ a spoon in the tussle.
The recruits will be flocking to play in that offense.
Drake Harris will be ours (evil laugh)
drake harris decommitment thread commences....now
I agree that this will be the biggest problem with this hire. His offense was way too vanilla, but Tressel and the personnel available played a huge role. The thing that will kill Dantonio is his very poor approach to recruiting. Not sure how he will get around this. Bollman proved he has no energy for it, and these days recruiting is all about tenacity.
I have to imagine that MSU has a real quarterback coach, so this will help quite a bit. Maybe there is someone that is targeted as a co-coordinator??? Just reaching, as I do not know how to put any positive spin on this hire. But one thing is certain, Bolman WILL NOT be an improvement for recruiting!!!
Detroit Free Press Article below. They site two sources that say Bollman is going to MSU.
Just a thought. Bollman had the offensive coordinator title at OSU, but he let Tressel call the plays. Maybe Dantonio wants to do the same and knows Bollman is a guy who will let that happen. It's not a good hire by any means, but possible reason for his hire.
dantonio is D coordinator...
If he was going to do this why bother hiring him
This just confirms that the world is officially on its head...I can think of no logical explanation for this hire (outside of an "embarrassing photos" scenario)...
Why did Tressel hire him then? Not saying that is the plan, just a thought.
Tressel called the plays...nobody (I think on MSU side) does this currently. Otherwise they would not need to bring him in...there would be no point
As to why Tressel hired him? Anyones guess, I did hear he was at one point he was considered innovative as OL coach though
I piss excellence.
