Browns hired Michael Lombardi as their new GM.
How do you feel about that Browns fans?

I'm not a fan of this hire at all
I guess between Lomardi and Lerner, Lombardi is the better choice.
Other than him booting out Bernie, who was clearly washed up, what did this guy do that was so bad? I know he is known as a scumbag around the NFL, much like Banner. But Im not sure why.
My uncle who has been a Browns season ticket holder since the early 80's HATES this hire. To say he is pissed is an understatement.
lombardi made a comment a few months ago on the bs report that the bengals love osu players. well the bengals hadnt drafted an osu player in 20 years until herron this year. its like hes still stuck in the early 90s
I'll flip this question around: name one good decision he made? Cutting Bernie when the backup QB was injured? That was asinine. We were forced to play with our 3rd string QB. In all seriousness, I can't think of one good decision the guy has made at any job he has had in the NFL.
This hire is putrid. I cannot remotely begin to understand it. What an idiotic decision by everyone involved. There is a reason no one would hire him in the NFL for ~5 years...he sucks. It is not like he suddenly learned how to be successful in his time as an NFL analyst, which by the way, he sucked at that job as well. I loved his draft predictions. What a loser Lombardi is....
From what I am hearing Big Ron is correct. Lombardi was not hired as GM but instead VP of Player Personnel. The Browns still plan on hiring a GM (from what I understand). Lombardi will not have final say on peronnel decisions.
Hopefully this is true, although I can't see what he has ever done to deserve ANY role in selecting players.
We dumped Heckert, who was doing a fantastic job, and got this *^*^*^*&^&%&5 loser?
I agree with the above poster who stated the guy picking the players is the most important part of the organization. Lombardi = epic fail in that category. Without being blessed with the last name "Lombardi" he'd be screwing up running a Pep Boys, let alone an NFL team. Haslam is making his mark alright, in this case a giant sh!t-stain.
I love the Browns. I hope to God he is just a figurehead and they can find a GM to actually do this job right. Otherwise we can look forward to continuing the debacle this franchise has been since '99.
