Interesting. All I can say is that his player moves in CLE were solid. His early picks were good starters, he picked good.players even in late rounds (Billy Winn etc), even is undrafted FA's could contribute (Gipson, Fort).
As stated before, hopefully the new regime can duplicate that.
Yes, we know it is so true. Banner is an outcast and Lombardi is a count.
do not like,, I thought the new owner was Not going to hire his croonies.. bad deal in my opinion!!
This dude drafted Jamarcus Russell #1 overrall in Oakland.
He drafted Sebastian Janikowski (a kicker) in the first round.
He took linebacker Craig Powell over Warren Sapp.
On NFL network he said Josh Gordon shouldn't have been brung in by the Browns.
Browns are toast!

There was hope for you Brown's fans when Haslam bought the team, then got rid of Shurmer and Holmgren, then replaces Heckert (only bright spot), then hires Lombardi. Smart in getting rid of the coach and President.
Then is considering moving to a 3-4.
What is it with people who enter this organization? It's like the dumb cloud overtakes them.
They hire good coaches, but a shitty talent evaluator to send them players to coach.
Again I just have to laugh. Let's see what they do in the draft. That has always given me a lot of laughs at their moves.
Sapp was 12th pick. Powell was 30th. What are you talking about. JJ Stokes was the guy taken with the Browns original pick.
And saying "he drafted" Russell and Janikowski is absurd when Al Davis ran everything on that team. If crediting him for those picks you need to credit him for the Raiders making the AFC Champ & Super Bowl in 2 of 3 years
I feel you, and you defintiely have legit concerns. However once all the peices are in place your concerns will go away. Just wait until he installs the Fire blitz package.
You do realize the defense he runs is Dick Labeau's defense he runs in Pittsburgh?
Gotta have good fast LBers
Labeau's defenses have been so good because 1) they don't change every 2 years so they accumulate players that fit the scheme 2) Dick Labeau is calling the D, which he is an unpredictable master at.
Jamming a "system" into place without the players to do so gaurantees failure.
Horton is a good DC, I look forward to seeing what he will do. In fact, the entire coaching staff I'm on board with. Lombardi irks me to no end though...I can't stand this hire. I've said enough on that topic.
Our quarterback does front flips, suck it.
