I disagree. This team is very strong defensively and I don't think that any disadvantage that Burke has defensively would be exploited due to what is behind him. On the opposite end I think Burke opens up the offense since they can't sag on him like what is done to craft. I live crafts hustle and desire but don't think it adds up to what Burke could bring.
Burke shoots 6 shots more a game than Craft and twice as many 3's. Craft also shares point guard duties with Scott who takes up some of his assist. Burke normally always handles the ball.
Defense is more than just steals, comparing players by stats alone is not always definite if you are looking at an entire body of work.
Hail Hail to MeatChicken the Cesspool of the World!
Most here would take Craft for 4 but Craft is our guy. I wonder what a similar poll on a UM site would show?
Burke is their guy. Craft is our guy. I hate their guys. I like our guys.
It would definitely be the vast majority Burke. But that's for two reasons 1) Craft is absolutely hated by all of our opponents because of his defense (or because he's white, depending on the article you read), and 2) We don't hate Burke as much as we hate most scUM guys, because he's a Columbus kid who played with Sully and wasn't offered an OSU scholarship. For these reasons, I think we're a little more open minded than scUM fans are going to be about it.
With Burke last year does OSU get to the national title? Craft was horrendous in the final two minutes of that game. Same thing last year at Indiana, same thing this year at Duke, same thing this year at Michigan.
With Burke this year are we a national title type of team?
With Craft we are not.

Bingo... Craft gives you leadership and defense that's second to none. Those qualities are golden and not easy to find at the level Craft gives. You can find other scorers. In fact, a scoring PG can be a hinderence at times.
Craft every single time.
Stop saying CRAFT BRINGS LEADERSHIP. No one here can say that BURKE doesn't bring leadership. Its a fucking stupid excuse. A scoring PG is not a hindrance. Especially one who not only leads all B10 PG in scoring but also ASSISTS.
Exactly luthershot. The question isn't who's better, or if u flipped teams, or their pro careers. The question is simple: 2 years with Burke or 4 years with Craft? And once again, you're getting Burke for his freshman and sophomore years... If you were getting him for his last 2, or even his middle 2, the argument would be even better. His freshman year was solid, but he wasn't all-world (I seem to remember his dud against us in the big ten semis last year and a 1st round exit in the big tourney vs "the real Ohio") by any means... If I'm picking 1 guy for 1 game or 1 season, I take Burke... But a college coach turning down 4 years of Craft 's services over Burke's freshman and sophomore years would be making a mistake.
OSU was up big against Kansas, DT and Sully did not play great that game either. Not sure Burke makes a difference in that game. As OSU easily could of won that game. Sully, Buford and DT were you main options most likely still all season, so how much scoring would Burke of been asked to do or even attempting.
Craft had a decent game at Michigan, had several steals and forced turnovers.
Burke and DT would be a nice pair, but we still have no inside presence. Look how many assist Burke gets from getting passes to Morgan and McCrary. Williams and Ravs can't hold onto passes like that. I would say probably not a NC team either.
