Sorry, but I disagree with this position.
This is very sad. Both acted horrible.
For the adult male: Be the adult here. Be a professional. Be a man - don't strike any woman, especially a teenage girl no matter how ugly she's acting. I would assume he lost his job over this. Expensive life lesson to learn.
For the girl: Get some ladylike virtues. Her conduct was horrible. Maybe this incident will be a wake-up call for her. But then maybe not if her family brings a lawsuit or her male family/friends seek payback - that would only reinforce her bad behavior.
I feel bad for both parties.
I originally thought it was wrong to hit a female but sorry, this "girl" deserved it. Maybe if somebody wouldve put her in her place years earlier shed know how to act.
Suspend the driver ( with pay 1 month / without pay one month) - send him to some counseling, and slowly ease him back into work with low profile positions after 1st of year. Allow him to use PTO for one month w/o pay......
I'm in old school crowd here .... you do not mess with any teacher, coach, bus driver, cafeteria lady, or school official...in any way. Verbally or Physically. They are the law .....roll the 'Another One Bites The Dust' ......
Or you face severe and long lasting consequences
School System along with City - lay the law down - on exceptable behavior on the bus. Make the rules very clear cut and consequences
for children stem to their parents, so there will be no harsh back lash on any student who behaves poorly.
City needs to get behind public workers and give them 100% support.
As for the Child - She needs arrested, suspended, and made an example out of.

Cleveland JUST HIRED a new bus driver

Not even close to warranted. Dude should never have hit her. He better get fired and I'd be surprised if he didn't go to jail. That was not self defense - restraining her I could understand. He had his hands on her throat when she came back after him - dude is a sick bastard. Obviously chick is a little wacko also, she deserves punishment but not a Mike Tyson uppercut.
Cleveland schools use the RTA buses. The "woman" deserved it. Had somebody given it to her sooner shed know how to act in public. ZERO sympathy. As for the schools, Im originally from Cleveland and I have a buddy who teaches in Cleveland schools. The parents are worse than the kids. When the schools DO call authorities, the teacher who called gets attacked after school. It happens all the time.
As the bus driver said, "You're gonna act like a man, I'm gonna treat you like a man".
None of this would of happened if the girl hadn't run her mouth and put her hands on the bus driver.
This busdriver is completely out of control. Your job is to drive a damn bus. If somebody is interfereing with that you pull over and call the police/RTA transit authority. This guy had no business verbally sparring with this woman. It escalated from his response. He can't handle his job.
She pushed (ie, assault) him while driving, put the whole bus at risk. She should be in jail.
Two wrongs do not make a right. But you can not assault someone and not expect retaliation. She hit a public bus driver, i don't think the bus was moving, but if it was she put all the passengers in danger. She had already put them in danger when she started the verbal assault by distracting him.
He went beyond self defense, but in some social environments that can be expected. Notice, after the hit, it continued with I'm going to have so and so beat your ass. It's all about violence. He should be punished and so should the girl. If she receives any money out of this, that is even more sad than the acts themselves.
Could not agree with you more! I am all about equality.
Great video. If more men acted like he did, women wouldn't try being physical. Loved what he did. I will smile all day, I may have to show that one to my homeroom.
It's kind of alarming how many dudes on hear are so happy about this. You guys might have some issues with women you might want to get checked out.

Bus driver NEEDED to pull over, and radio the 5-0 before it got to that point to exercise some control. Situations like that usually can be avoided. HOWEVER...that ho deserved to get clocked and tossed to the curb.
