Dave, you must be like the rest of us that can't sleep because of this "recruiting high" we are all on huh?
Once again I/we appreciate all you do especially in times like this when I'm sure your days seem to all run together!
I'm Glad your with The Good Guys!
Yes thank you I know I just got off work an hour ago and I'm beat I'm going to read Bucknuts a bit and crash I work a double tomorrow but Today was the best one got away Dorian Johnson but Omg Urban and staff were beasts competitive, Beasts!!!!!!
One thing I don't get. Dispatch story says we have 83 on scholarship right now and have to be at. 82 by fall camp.
But there were six open ships at the end of last year, 13 seniors with Hall returning plus Hankins leaving early. That is 20.
Wood. Crowell, Reed and O'Conner transferred or took medical hardships. That is 24. Should put us at 82 not 83. Anyone add the numbers differently?
If anyone leaves this spring or summer, we'll have room for Townsend. Which is probably what Meyer has been telling the family.
Can't sign you now but I am bound to have something open in the fall and if not, you're first in line once something does open, portending a grey shirt as a last resort.
Dave do you really see all 6 of the DL or more specifically the 4 DTs sticking to DT. I have to believe that one of either Price or Munger goes to OLine before their career is over.
Hail Hail to MeatChicken the Cesspool of the World!
I believe they are counting Townsend in that 83.

Yes, they must be. The number is exactly 82 w/o Townsend.
You can really tell by looking at Biddle's breakdown of the class, how much thought the staff put into filling voids and hitting the areas of need. Huge boost in the secondary and LB and added depth of the D line, and speed at skill positions.
This is a great class!
2014 we may need to take 4 OL, that still seems to be an area with depth issues.
Not "may"... "WILL"
We can put that in ink. This was an outstanding class. Out-freakin-standing... But make no mistake, OL, especially Tackles, should be the focus for 2014.
We need a minimum of 4. Preferably 5. 3 of which MUST be Tackles IMO. Then in 2015 we'll need a minimum of 3 preferably four OL.
I'm all in favor of keeping dangerous weapons out of the hands of fools. Let's start with typewriters.
- Frank Lloyd Wright (1868-1959)
Counting Wood as "in" the number is 83. Counting Wood as "out" the number is 82. Wood is not OFFICIALLY out as yet, not until his medical hardship is firm.

And just think, we only have to wait 6 mos. till we get to see them on the field of play. Damn it's going to be a long spring and summer!
..pay forward ........................................he made them pay...............................he'll make them pay again and again
So do you consider bosa to be a dt?
Yes, I do. Chance that he could be a SSDE, but I think Mr. Adolphus Washington will lock down the SSDE spot for the next 3 years. So, if I had to guess, I think Bosa will be a 3-technique DT. But I'm also glad he's versatile enough to play SSDE.
When Michael Hill, Darron Lee, Billy Price, and Chris Worley are your "low" rated recruits, it's a hell of a class. Top-to-bottom, this is my favorite class in terms of potential.
From an achievement standpoint, 2002 will be tough to beat, but I wouldn't put it past over a 5 year stretch TOSU winning two NCs. That's the trajectory I believe Urban has us heading.
Cleveland Orchestra Baby!! World's greatest!! The Brown's wet dream is to be them. The Ohio State University-Where the Illibuck Lives!
