So Kyle Allen got the Golden Ticket to the Elite 11 competition. No word on how Barker performed, but I see nothing on Twitter about it.

Top50 QB Kyle Allen gets golden ticket to Elite 11 finals from Trent Dilfer.
Allen also got invited to the Opening. Pretty good day, 4th QB picked for the Elite 11 and invited to the Opening.
I really would like Allen in this class I think he would surprise people personally but if not him then honestly I have to say Darlington

In the words of the late great Colonel Sanders "I'm too drunk to taste this chicken!"
Even with the lack of arm strength, big windup, slow feet, and all? Amazing. But he wouldn't be a good signal caller here because the Urban Meyer offense rarely calls for the forward pass.
I think it's telling that Drew Barker's offer list is so so. Besides USCe there is really nobody. No big boy teams. Most think he lost interest in us because we slow played him, but I think the opposite happened.
Meyer always builds his offenses around the personnel he has. People would have said that a guy like Carlos Hyde, as a big back, doesn't fit into his scheme as well, but Meyer found away to use him in an effective way.
I thought my post was dripping with sarcasm, sorry that didn't come across.
haha I'm glad to hear that, unfortunately everything that you said has been stated by others on here with complete sincerity
Our boy drew barker didn't get an invite, was at the same competition
Hahaha! That was a funny post.
Agreed, I never really got all rage in wanting Barker so bad. Nice prospect but not what everyone made him out to be, there are 10 Qb's in this class I take over him.
Yep. You do not need a running QB for this offense, Oregon has run rough shod on people since Masoli left, with more very mobile QB's who can run, scramble and run the zone read and option, but their being better passers first that can run make that offense go.
Same with Clemson and Boyd.
A RB QB is a luxury. If you are not legit threat to throw the ball out to speed players in space, it is easier to defend.
Witness Troy Smith becoming a better passer, whom teams knew could run, the OSU offense took off once his passing came around and teams also knew he could run.
I agree ohiost83. I like Darlington and would put Allen second.
