Was wanting to start a thread with any Cavs or NBA Draft Rumors. Draft is only 2 days away. Seems from the rumors I'm hearing New Orleans takes Davis. Then Charlotte takes Thomas Robinson. Then Washington takes Beal. That leaves an interesting decision for the Cavs between MKG and Barnes. I tend to think the Cavs take MKG but Barnes wouldn't shock me. Either way the Cavs are in great position to imporve their team at a position they desparately need talent.

Shock The World
We need to move up for Beal. He is the only home run in the draft for us. Immediate difference base on Cav's cuurent deficiencies.
Saw a story yesterday somewher about Cavs trading 4 and 24 for number 2 to get infront of Washington. Might also have to put in one of the second round picks as well. Read it had a decent chance of happening. Guess we will see.

Read that too about getting up to #2.....have heard the talks with Portland about swapping 4 and 24 for 6 and 11 and there was talk of Verajeo and #24 pick to Golden State for #7 pick...not sure how close any of those are to happening
I'd go for that.
Also read that the Cavs had already decided they weren't briniging in 4 rookies. So something is going to have to give. Maybe they package 4 and 24 to get 2 and try to package the two second rounders to get back late into the first if someone is still there they like. Just some random speculation.
Lots of talk around the Cavs right now. Would not be shocked to see a move. I actually like the Portland move the best. I really like Beal, but I don't think anyone besides Davis in the draft is a 100% for sure perennial all-star. So giving up the #24 to move up 2 spots for a guy with question marks makes me nervous. Having #6 and #11 would give us two guys who could be multi-year starters. What if Thomas Robinson slides to #6. I take a combination of Robinson and Rivers/Waiters over just Beal any day. Even if he doesn't, I like a combo of Lamb and Zeller at 6 and 11 over just Beal. That is just me. The Cavs have two legit starters right now. Gee and Thompson are borderline. They may become legit starters, but they haven't proven it yet.
And Andy's durability is the only reason to ever make the move for GS #7. When Andy is healthy, the Cavs were in the playoff hunt. He brings so much to a team, and the Cavs are already horribly thin up front. They have Thompson, Varejao and a pu-pu platter of guys who haven't done squat. I don't want to go into a season with Thompson, Samuels and so other rookie we got at #7. That could be the worst front line in the NBA.
I really like the GS trade for two reasons. Andys’ durability, remember he’s planning on playing with the Brazilian Olympic team this summer, and the NBA is going to be going after the big time “floppers” next season and Andy is at the top of the list.
I know the Cavs need a lot of help in the middle and if Drummond is there I say pull the trigger on him, but if he’s gone I would go after Austin Rivers, I know he’s a point guard, but at this point I would draft best available and I think at #7 he’ll end up being a steal.
