Year one at Kansas under Charlie Weis, 1-11, with a week one win over South Dakota State.
Kansas gave up over 50 points 4 times and quite a few in the 40's.
No schematic advantage for Weis at Kansas right now.
My how good Mark Mangino looks to some Jay Hawk fans.
He was a great pick up for them.
Heard colorado was thinking about Mark Mangino. Might be a really good idea!
Whoever came up with the name Charlie Cheeseburger is a genius and I'd love to buy him a beer.
I feel bad for him, don't hate him any more now that that he isnt associated with Notre Shame anymore. At least no students were killed or raped while he was there.

In his defense, it takes a little while to get guys that he wants. You can't expect a guy to come in with someone else's players and succeed right away. He'll be able to attract some under the radar guys there to fit his system. If after 3 years he has yet to make progress, then I think he's open to criticism.
Sorry, there is no defense for cheeseburger because of the rings comment he made about his rings compared to Tressel's, and because of of his schematic quote. If you are going to talk the talk, you better walk the walk.
If anyone has the rings quote please post it.
I expected Urban Meyer to come in right away and succeed. He did. Brady Hoke prefers a pro style offense but knew his team would be better if he did not run a full blown pro style offense. He adjusted and succeeded.
Charlie Weiss was head coach for the worst three year stretch in ND history. Florida's offense was historically bad with him last year as the offensive coordinator.
He acts like he is the greatest coach who ever existed. The only thing that could make me happier than watching Charlie Weis continue to fail is to see ESPN go bankrupt.

I thought they let Turner Gill go too soon. A real shame. I liked him.
Did Gill even get three years? I remember thinking the same thing.
Dude is a complete pompous ass. He is the worst kind of asshole--he has a HUGE ego and zero ability as a HC.
Bielema might be an asshole, but at least his teams are consistently good at something other than losing.
How good does Mark Mangino look? Still heavier than Charlie.
Nope, only TWO years. That's very unfair. It used to be a rule of thumb - give the coach three years to see how he goes.
Now, everybody goes stupid by firing good coaches after only two years. It's crying shame...
Especially taking over a team like Kansas. Magino only won two games his first season.
It was me and I'll take a Pliny Elder or Younger your choice.
Sarah sorry about the Herpes.
I'm with you. There is no excuse for being such a jagoff. That was the most arrogant interview I can recall, and good old humble and magnanimous Tressel served him a monumental beatdown for it. Suck on those rings, Charlie.
Not an exact quite but basically here's the jist.
It was asked what was more impressive. Tressel's five nc rings or his three super bowl rings. He said one of my super bowl rings is more impressive than all five of his cfb nc rings.
