Are you sure he has already been given a medical hardship scholarship? I have heard for some time that this may happen but have not seen any "official" announcement from OSU as yet. ohiostatebuckeyes.com (the official OSU athletic site) still shows Wood as a member of the roster. At any rate, you are probably correct in saying that he is/will be on medical hardship and not count against the NCAA limit of 85 (82 for OSU next year).

I thought Jordan Hall was a senior this year. Do we know if he was granted another year already? I didn't think he had another year otherwise but I could be wrong. Is another year a certainty?
I believe Meyer announced the Wood move
Hall is just a formality. He only played in 3 games

So I'm going to assume that with good seasons next year, Bradley Roby (assuming he returns next year) and Ryan Shazier will go pro. That would leave 15 open slots for 2014. Maybe if one of the TE, WR, LB, and DL transfer in the future, there will be about 19 scholarships for 2014? Perhaps if Cardale Jones does transfer, and another RB transfers, there could be 21 or so...Sorry I'm thinking/typing out loud. I'm just really curious to see how big 2014 will be...I really wish that we gained those 3 scholarships back for the 2014 class. Really don't want to see those transfers if it can be helped, but I think it's inevitable. Hopefully I'm wrong though.
