One problem that could have an impact Meyer's legacy at Ohio State..He really has not stayed very long at any one school..He burnt himself out in 6 years at Florida..IMO I just do not see Meyer staying at Ohio State for 10 years..Let's just enjoy the Urban Meyer run as long as we can..

Woody and Archie.................................. Alex being Alex, ....................................and Woody at Dennison
I still think the 2009 Gators were better than the 2009 Tide, lots of things at play in that title game that fell apart for UF. UF wins that game and Urb is the clear cut better coach and owns Saban.
Didn't work out that way, but I think it's impossible to say who's better. Talk to me in 2-3 years when Urb has recruited every position on the field at OSU. We're damn good now, but we could get ridiculously good.
You're nuts, he invented the offense Dan Hawkins ran. They don't recruit elite players but they happen to beat elite teams every year (except last season). Oklahoma, Oregon (twice), Virginia Tech, Georgia, TCU. That list just keeps growing. The whole 1 game thing is out the window now. Peterson is the perfect fit for Texas once Mack Brown leaves. And if Kiffin is thrown out at USC anytime soon he could be stellar there as well. He might be the most underrated coach in the country.
I disagree with you Matt. Urban doesn't have the time at Osu that Saban has at Alabama. Saban has a massive head start since Urban finished kicking his ass while at Florida. I would be willing to bet, if Urban is still at Florida Saban doesn't win all these championships. In a few years Urb will completely blow by him bringing the big ten out of the gutter also.
One of the things, that grips my apples is that on every telecast this week, replaying the 2012 season on BTN, the tone of the announcers is...."they are winning. but they have struggled". Yea, they struggled to a 12-0 undefeated season wiht some very questionable wins wiht a fiasco game wiht UAB, California, Indiana scare, 2 OT games with Purdue and Wisconsin, BUT we won those games.....every undefeated team usually "struggles" somwwhere along the line to the perfection of an undefeated season......injures, missing players, etc all add into the toll to make a perfect season
Meyer came in here with basically nothng,...took Vrables 6-7 team, and nothing much else and "went on the road wiht it"....its hard for a lot of people to give Urban his dues.....what they better be prepared for is when he has HIS full quiver of HIS guys in the fold, to see what the OSU Buckeyes look like.....it will be an SEC team in the B10, the big 1 and little 11.....I do not even see Hoke giving him a struggle as he gets going.......it should get real interesting....
you mean Fickell?
Vrable's first year as an assistant coach.
anyways - under the circumstances we all respect Luke for how he conducted himself - before, during, and after the struggles the
program faced after some devasting mistakes from Luke's former boss.
Luke kept the vessel floating - although he did get it clearly off course. He did have a learning experience most will never get. We are lucky
to have him as an assistant. Hopefully someday - Luke will spread his wings and take a head coaching position at a small program.
