He's got a kid.He's out.
Let's stop with the whole son thing, okay? His child was born a year ago in March, his draft stock hasn't moved since his birth. Wouldn't it have made more sense to go pro last year if that was such a factor? And please, don't argue that he thought he was going to develop an NBA skillset this year, because at 6'-7" it's just never going to happen for him. How often do we see players who wouldn't be drafted leave college early to go to Europe? Do you guys know how ridiculous that sounds? I think it's downright offensive to Deshaun to assume he is desperately in need of money and I am virtually certain he will still be returning next year.
Deshawn Thomas should stay in school but not to work on his craft. He needs to get his degree. His pro basketball career is not going to last very long in my opinion. Great college player but....not so sure how he will translate into the pros with his size and skill set.

Yes, he should stay in school.
Problem is , he NEEDS to go pro. NBA, probably not, but Europe will pay him nicely. It won't be millions but it will be more than I make with a degree, so go get paid and buy that little girl gifts. Be smart and invest wisely.
Either way, I support his decision....Go bucks!
He should stay based on his stock in the NBA. That being said, he has a child to support and I totally understand if he decides to leave. He can make money over seas and if he is okay with that then I respect it 100%. Good Luck to ya DT... You've been a great Buckeye!
I hope he stays because it's good for osu but also because it's good for him. In a few years he'll need a degree. Hoops won't last forever. I get Tue need to support a kid but let's face it, he's found a way to cloth and feed the.child for the last year why couldn't he do it for another year.
I hope he stays, but with having a kid in the picture he is probably gone. If he does stay, we are probably preseason top 3. He will have a chance to be the Buckeyes all time leading scorer, his class has a chance to set the all time wins record, chance at a big 10 title and tourney title, and finally another shot at a national title. Most important thing is getting his degree like mention above. Make memories Deshaun but understand he has to make the best decision for himself and his family.

You might be surprised how well he does in the NBA with only one guy guarding him.
Stay in school and get your degree. Besides is he going to take that Baby and mother to Europe with him? He'll not make a fortune playing basketball in Europe and will be homesick to boot!
He's not going to get more athletic by coming back. He has a two inch vertical jump, that aint changing. Go get paid.
