The Clemson QB commit just confirmed to me a report in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that he is done taking college visits.
Obviously, this is big news for the Tigers.
Still a long way to go, however, until NSD 2014.

He's smart to take that stance to eliminate distractions, but after the bowl games this could get real interesting. Just too many moving parts for this to be over:
1. Don't know what either coaching staff will look like next year.
2. Have to see how the QB position performs for both teams this year. Taking home some hardware could be viewed as how well a staff develops a QB.
3. Urban's ability to Flip and close late in the recruiting game.
4. Each Team's record/success.
5. What the post season depth chart looks like with the new recruits.
Per Corch Urbs' orders.
Silent commit, imo.
But honestly though... is it too abrasive to say his word is garbage? He's wavered on this for months now. I bet he still makes the pilgrimage to Columbus with Kitt and some other Georgians over the summer. Probably at FNL imo.
Actions speak louder than words. I'll believe this when I see OSU offer another QB.
Agreed, when he see's OSU offense on steroids this fall, he may start to DVR the Buck games and just pick up the phone and the Urbanator. It's not over until Mrs. Hoke sings.

did you text back "WTF bro?"
"5 foot 8.....what do they want a basketball team?"
Yep. Brandon Harris time.
Can anyone really blame him for sticking with his commit? He's going to have a legitimate chance to start from Day 1 since this is Tahj's last year. Sweeney's offense is just as up-tempo as ours and he gets to stay somewhat close to home.
I am as big of an OSU homer as there is, but this is the play I make if i'm in his shoes.
He plans to enroll early.
He'll be on campus somewhere before the championship game is played and before the coaching changes at the major schools heat up.
Something about the Barker kid, I like and I want. Similar to Mitch Trubuski last year going to UNC. Its not lIke Barker to UK or even SC would come back to "haunt" us...BUT I really would like to land this kid.
As stated before, there "could be " some wiggle room in the sense that JT Barrett will be a RS frosh next year, Cardale could still be here in the mix and then you have your 2015 QB kid.
My gut says Barker...I know its early and this Harris kid is the next big thing, you never know..
Not at all, and I know that Buckeye Nation believes Urban can flip him, but I like that he let everyone know right now. Hey, if something changes, he can always come visit later and Urban would welcome him, but time to move forward...I think he sticks with Clemson...
Yes! Time to offer Brandon Harris, Drew Barker and see who wants to commit first.
Of course, there's a chance that Tom Herman will get a head coaching job early in the bowl season, and we announce Chad Morris as the new Offensive Coordinator, Assistant Head Coach and QBs coach for head coach $$ (not like Saban or UFM, but top money for a coordinator. And lo and behold, right before arriving on campus at Clemson, Watson turns around and heads North.
He hasn't visited any other schools. Does those actions count?
I believe that you are right in that the staff feels somewhat comfortable with the depth of the QB position. If you look at it, it's also pretty risky to not at least take SOMEONE this year. If Barker or Harris don't work out, then someone lower who can at least be a warm body on the depth chart.
30 minutes worth of Harris highlights.

yep it is definitely time to move on and get a few offers out. I hope the ship hasn't sailed on Barker because he seemed eager to be a Buckeye.
And I shall rejoice in victory for another 365 days over That School Up North.
Exactly, if Clemson does their normal swoon after being over rated and urban wins a nc, he'll be thinking heavily about flipping.
