Does Silas Redd regret leaving PSU & vilifying himself to an entire, rather sizable, fan base? He went to USC because he was sold visions of a National title. He could have stayed at PSU and been immortalized to the fan base as one of the special ones which stood by their commitment & made the best of it.
Instead, he traded that for ,what appears will be, a loss in the Sun Bowl.
at least he got to go bowling (though they are losing in the 4th)
Yeah I doubt it. He had the opportunity to live in SoCal for a year and play in a bowl.... sounds a lot better than being in State College and dealing with the crap they went through this year.
Please. Kid is free to do what he wants. Reality is PSU let an animal run loose for years and years. You could make the argument that he is a hero for leaving PSU.
I don't think he will regret it but I am sure he is disappointed in their season.
weird thing is that psu could have gone undefeated if all those kids stayed. losing redd and justin brown alone would be enough to cripple an offense.
Penn State immortality....big deal. I wouldnt want my name associated with that era in any way. I believe he made the right choice
Why? He still got to go to a bowl game and live in La La Land surrounded by gorgeous women instead of crappy State College. Doesn't seem like a hard sell to me.
Maybe he didn't want to play for a school that put football PR ahead of protecting children.
He got to spend a few days in El Paso and Juarez.

Penn State undefeated? I don't think so. Penn State had all those guys in 2011 (before the sanctions) and still went 9-4 (before the wins were vacated). Why on earth would this year be any different? The last Penn State team to go undefeated was their 1994 squad. Even without sanctions, Penn State would not have had anywhere close to that type of talent on their roster this past year.
No. He didn't want to sport colors from a school where the coach raped boys and the administration covered it up.
