I'm trying to upgrade my phone today and stay with Verizon. I currently have a motorola Droid X and have been very happy with it. I just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on this Droid Razor Maxx phone since it has the longest charging battery with like 22 hours of talk time! I've been happy with the Droid platform and just wanted to compare with the iPhone. What features do you like and why. I personally like that I can make the Droid a hotspot with a 4G service with a monthly data plan of 4G and connect my pc to it for home internet use. I'm also getting a iPad in the near future and think I'll be able to connect it to my Droid as well. I don't want to pay for internet 2 times! I'm thinking about dumping my internet cable and just using my new Droid X. Curious to the boards thoughts?
Just upgraded from the X... I got the Samsung Galaxy S3 and would HIGHLY recommend it. 4.8 inch screen that is INCREDIBLE! So fast and has alot of features that are amazing. The battery has gotten me through the entire day for a almost a week now.
Are you on Verizon network? And that phone is also a droid isn't it, and how much data plan did you buy? I'm thinking I could get away with 4G of data per month and still be able to surf and email, stream pandora in the truck and not run over! How much data do you use?
Anything not iPhone is an upgrade...
Why do you say that Dom?
I would get a iPhone. Actually, it you could wait, I would wait for the iPhone 5 in a few months. It will break all records
Can you tell me some of the advantages to the ice cream sandwich platform it runs now? I'm assuming you'll still be able to run multiple email inbox's and have apps open! Other than clock speed and battery are there any video or browsing advantages?
Nat just got the iPhone...and the battery is garbage...half the time her and I can't have a phone conversation because she can't keep service. It takes minutes to send and receive texts as opposed to seconds..and the app store is garbage compared to droid IMO. She is taking it back this weekend and getting a droid again. Maybe the 5 will change but we will see.
Awesome phone. Excellent battery life.
Will it be 4g?
Yup and a larger screen too.
Droids do not compare to an iphone end of story and once the iphone5 comes out it will be a much bigger gap. What really sets the iphone apart is longevity and the constant and major software upgrades you get...for free. Droids might be nice out of the box but they bog down and lose functionality in months just like a pc computer vs a mac. Droid simply replaces their phones rather than making quality upgrades to existing software, apple is the big dog here for a reason.
