I know Wilson was already committed to Oregon, but the Texas people have to be pissed hearing about one of their best recruits either going to Oregon or Ohio State. A few shitty seasons in a row, Major Applewhite scandal, terrible defense. Texas is a sleeping giant and they have been very mild the last few years. They can't even win their own state anymore. How much longer does this Mack Brown train last?
I think it's a BCS bowl or bust for Brown this season no matter what.

no, Texas was never in it anyways. Dontre just wanted a 3rd big name hat...
But it could be argued that its worse Texas was never in it. They need to land the elite Texas kids or they're done.
I think Mack Brown has locked up 2 of the top 15 players in texas this year. Hell he just took a low 3 star safety trying to fill out the class
They have been getting top backs so it wasn't a priority. Also not the type of back they take.
Sarah sorry about the Herpes.
That's a great point. Couldn't they have used him as a slot receiver/special teams player? Seems like that elite talent needs to stay home for Brown to be successful.
every team needs a dontre wilson.
I think it may be better for Mack Brown to retire or move on. Whatever he had working early on isn't there anymore. He is losing recruits. I can understand a blue blood like Ohio State nabbing recruits along with LSU, but how is a school like Oregon getting Texas recruits? Mack has lost it. He reminds me of Joe Paterno and Bobby Bowden at the end of their careers. They hung on way too long thinking that they could turn it around just like Mack Brown is right now.
Can't wait for Saban to get old!!!!
Barrett and Wilson are better fits for a spread oriented offense and not a Texas pros style hybrid spread if you will so I think most in those circles will see that for what it is as far as Mitchell that's a big loss of course so was losing Hicks to Texas as we witnessed last season. There is to much talent in Texas and at Texas to perform as poorly as they have. I like Mack Brown but I don't think he can take another bad year and keep his job....JMO

which is funny because the only time Texas has been to the top of the mountain in this BCS era, they were running the spread option with V Young...might want to think about going back to it.
