I read a pretty good analysis on ESPN as to why the Buckeyes legitimately have a claim on the AP title should ND fall to either Georgia or Alabama in the NC game.
Most of the analogy focuses on the fact the AL, SOS-47, GA SOS-51, and tOSU SOS-52, all played about the same strength of schedule, with only tOSU being the undefeated team. They mentioned that the vaunted tough schedule of both of those SEC teams were against other SEC teams that fired their coaches at the end of this year because they were so bad. Auburn, TN, ?.
Best analogy that tOSU and the B1G were actually no where near as bad as they media portrayed, and without the media negative bias towards the B1G we would be given much more respect for being 12-0 in the B1G and probalybe sitting at No.2 AP right now..
SOS should be calculated at the end of the season. I hate the fact that the B1G whiners lost their tune up games. This really hurt us but also with Rutgers and Maryland coming in, our conference SOS could go either way in years to come.
"We are never defeated unless we give up on God"
It is kind of amazing georgia has the same sos, lost by 28, and is ranked higher.
Georgia didnt play the 1st,2nd,3rd, or 4th place teams in the west.
Georgia beat #5 in ap, lost to #11 by 28. No other ap ranked opponents.
OSU beat #14, #21, #29. No losses.
Unfortunately, there are too many media d-bags like that guy who is still voting us 12th to never let us have this one.
The media's portrayal of the Big10 is fair..It was a down year for the Big10..Two of the Big10 best teams are banned from the post season..The Big10 must produce in the Bowl season (and that includes TTUN)..A solid bowl season would reflect favorably on Ohio State's undefeated season.

Woody and Archie.................................. Alex being Alex, ....................................and Woody at Dennison
And I shall rejoice in victory for another 365 days over That School Up North.
Yes but Florida beat UL Lafayette by 7 at home.
And we beat Indiana by 3 by luck... give it a rest
Please we were up 52 to 34 with less than 2 minutes to go. The only thing lucky was IU's bullshit onside kick. Credit to Indiana for not rolling over but if anyone got lucky it was the Hoosiers.

Every team either has a loss(es) or multiple "bad" wins. Dismissing osu b/c of close wins is just being ignorant of other teams resumes
Up by 3 scores with 2min to play is luck ? Hmm... interesting.
Well said... It seems to be lost on the talking heads what 12-0 actually means. If you haven't lost, you have a legit claim, it's that simple.

Wouldnt an sec title game victory and NC game victory over ND raise their SOS while ours stays the same? I want to see it as bad as anybody but dont think we have a chance. We haven't beat anybody close to top 5 caliber, in this situation we would jump a team that beats two top 3 teams to finish the season
I think it is the longest of long shots. However if the big ten were to blow out everyone and go say undefeated or only one loss in the bowls and a one loss Georgia beat bama and then barely beat nd I could see it happening. That is a BIG if.
bowling green gave them a hell of a game too. it was actually closer than the score.
"according to a source familiar with the goings on behind the doors of the WHAC,there is absolutely no panic.Actually, quite the contrary."
