This is getting laughable now. Shut down? Because Trey Burke doesn't have 31 points against us in 2 games? Idc who you are a good offensive player will always beat a good defensive player. Nobody can STOP a scorer, you can just hope to slow them down. All you defense wins championships need to disappear. Plus Burke made two plays on D ON Aaron to save the game in AA. Hes a better defender than Aaron is a scorer.
Plus Burke might win National PoY, so this is a non issue.

I don't get the "he's not a true point guard" statements. Is it because he shoots more than Craft does? Burke averages almost 7 assists a game with only 2 turnovers a game. Running the offense with the ability to get almost 7 assists a game in college shows a true point guard to me.
Just pointing out that they are completely different types of players.......so why even really try to compare them.
Craft is an orchestrator of the offense vs. a scorer like Burke is......their teams play different styles of offense as well if you want to be that technical.
Burke is a better orchestrator of the offense than Craft as well. He is offensively superior in every way. Anybody who says Burke isn't a true PG doesn't know what hes talking about. There are only 10 people in college basketball averaging more apg than Burke. You know who's not one of them? Aaron Craft. Just because you can score and assist doesn't mean your not a TRUE PG, it just means your a better PG. Turn off the John Stockton highlights.
wow, everyone is so sensitive. They are different types of players....period.
Craft is averaging almost 5 per game and again, their teams play entirely different styles of offense. Burke averages 7 assists per game because he has players around him that can finish and SHOOT THE PERIMETER SHOT CONSISTENTLY.
You have a lot to learn about the game of basketball, my man.
Scoring is only a small part of the game and not even the most important part.

IMO, Craft isn't better than Burke. If Burke played for OSU and Craft played for Scum, we would be saying how much better Burke is than Craft.
I have said it before, and it may not make sense but I think Burke is an all around better player than Craft but I would not trade Craft for Burke straight up. Craft has some intangibles that this OSU team needs. Again, this is just my opinion and I can definitely understand your perspective.
Btw, when Craft was a soph (like Burke) he was not a great free throw shooter.
I forgot to mention in my last post, the real comparison should be Shannon Scott vs. Trey Burke, as Shannon was the player who received the scholarship that Burke could have been offered. Hind sight is 20/20.
Burke got at least 15 points in every game this year, outplayed Craft head-to-head in both meetings this year, and has far more assists and points than Craft.
These two really aren't comparable, and Big Ten coaches and media both agree on that.
BURKE IS THE BETTER PLAYER. Every person who says Craft is better needs a hammer to the head. Burke is light years the better player. Did anyone not see Burke defending MSU the other night? He is not that bad on the D side of the ball. Now on the offensive side, he is light years ahead of Craft. Craft shoots like I do. Not very good. He has a horrible shot. Burke on the other hand is a killer on the offensive side of the ball. Oh and the ultimate stfu homers will be who gets drafted and who doesn't. Burke is a top 10 pick right now. Craft is a Free Agent Pickup.

Hail Hail to MeatChicken the Cesspool of the World!
Craft also has a terminal case of the yips in the clutch.
He was awful last year in the final 3 possessions at Indiana, embarrassing in the final two minutes of the Final Four loss at Kansas, a train wreck in the last 3 minutes this year at Duke, and flat-out horrendous at the end of regulation and all of overtime at Michigan earlier this season.
Matta already knows this, which is why Craft didn't have the ball at the end at Michigan State.
