If this might be the trickle before the waterfall. With them also desperately trying to apply for AAU status, the ACC getting ready for a clearing house sweepstakes, I feel the smoking gun is that they plan on joining the B1G. If you notice Rutgers and Maryland are beginning to offer Ohio kids also. Not saying for sure but this is just my speculation.
Anyone else think this raises the eyebrow???
Good conspiracy theory, post it in the expansion thread.
its either that or they still think its the mid 1990's down in Tallahasse and believe they will get every kid they offer. I wonder if Lance Harbor still plans on going there?
Heard he got a medical hardship and they asked him to grey shirt. Billy Bob is supposedly transferring there too.

I think their trying to increase their talent by increasing their recruiting out reach.
Besides Florida and Miami being in FL; you have OSU, Mich, Bama, Georgia, and many other SEC schools setting up shop in Florida. Then you have UCF, USF , etc down there as well.
I think you're reading way too much into it. Maybe jimbo just thinks those guys can play and he wants to go after them. I would be very surprised if an fsu were to join the big ten.
If Georgia Tech is being tossed around, I definitely expect FSU to be in that discussion. Once they achieve AAU status, they offer everything Delaney wants. Expands the footprint, an AAU school, and increases TV market. Population down there is sick with it.
I think you're not to far off.
..pay forward ........................................he made them pay...............................he'll make them pay again and again
GT and FSU offer way more in football than the VA, Carolina schools we are considering. Plus a wider TV footprint.

Fla is densely popluated, along with the Atlanta-area. I would'nt mind trying to pull Clemson and NC and Duke.
Exactly. An offer doesn't mean anything more than we are interested. You throw out 20 of them right before NSD and likely there will be a few kids that are iffy in their choice and may make an ov. As we know offers are not necessarily commitable and coaches have no reason to care if a kid is committed elsewhere before offering. You are not going to waste too much time since NSD is around the corner, they just want to get kids on campus right before NSD to take advantage of that last minute uneasiness about the decision.
Good time of year to offer Northern kids. 65-67 and bright sunshine this weekend.
