DeSales DL Chris Rock, who signed with Michigan in 2011, is now practicing as a walk-on it seems at Ohio State.
He redshirted in 2011 then left Michigan in May 2012 and enrolled at OSU in the fall. This makes him eligible to play at OSU this coming fall.
He appeared at one of the first practices, met with the coaches, took his physical and is now on the field.
Can't imagine he has a scholarship yet. Maybe he can earn one down the line. He was wearing No. 91 today.

Corch Urbs now using former Michigan players as tackling dummies?
I thought that a transfer within the B1G could not be place on scholarship.

Well, hopefully he has improved a lot from HS. I watched him several times and he was not dominant. In fact in the state championship game Mooney was blocking him with a 150lb RB and they would blow him up with pulling guard almost every single time they did it. but, you know what...that was a few years ago. He's a buckeye now and I wish him the very best, I really do.
I thought the same thing...that is why Justin Boren was never on scholarship after he transferred here from scUM?
Steve & staff -- a favor, please. If you get a chance to talk to Rock, can you ask him to explain one of the biggest mysteries in college football? Since he's been on the inside, maybe he can help:
What does Hoke do?
Classic post. This info should be made available to tbb
Normally that's all a scum recruit is worth.
I bet he left because once he heard hoax speak he realized that he'd never learn one arbitrary thing from him and he figured that at least paying his way at osu he'd learn something.
I am sure it's nice to get a kid who saw the Meatchicken play book first hand, stained as it may have been in barbecue sauce.
