Could be the next Randy Moss. Great player with big issues.
He is a Big Time Talent, but there is a reason why Urb did not want this kid. Urban lives for 5 star talent and there has to be something off with this kid. I'm not saying he is trouble maker, but he has been a Knuckle head and we don't need any of those. Insert Tarell Pryor. Good Luck to him and we will be just fine with Jalin and if we can bag Quick
With the sanctions we are dealing with on schollies we can't really afford to miss on a recruit
We didnt miss...our class is #3. Top 10 last year. How are we missing?
Oh well that would make oversigning a competitive advantage and there's never been any proof of that now has there texasbuckeye.
Great post amigo.
I'm gong to lay out the football schedule for the next 5 years, show me one, just one game Ohio State fans would find acceptable to lose.
How did Duron Carter work out for the Tide? Also, I think Urban is definitely getting players to compete with anyone in the nation.

Agree with an earlier post, there is enough talent already that if it is a bust, Saben will throw him off the team and not be hurt by it...Saben is calling another Duron Carter on this one...high risk high reward. IMO he never plays at Bama.
Kinda surprised by some people's comments. Perhaps they haven't been following recruiting too closely this year. My perception has been this guy was available for the taking at a position of need for the Buckeyes and we basically passed. That should say something. As another poster put it Bama can afford to take the risk. OSU clearly didn't want to deal, nor do I.
Its not going to be hard to recruit well when, 1. Your in the SEC, and 2. You've won 2 of the last 3 National Championships.
I have a question for Bill, or who ever else wants to asnwer though... How many assistant coaches have left Bama to take a better position at other schools?
Have you ever spoken with Foster? Do you have personal insight into his attitude, character, and non-football skills? What can you tell us all about his academic capabilities and progress toward a HS degree? Does he have a chance to make good progress towards a college degree? How well does he get along with the student body in his HS, and is he a well-regarded teammate? Does he obey the law? How is his relationship with his family?
What is the difference between these two numbers.....85 and 82?????
Do you recall the name Duron Carter?
Which teams in what conference routinely oversign?
Very true, I have a buddy who was living down there and teaching at a school that had a big DB recruit for them and I do not remember who he was, but he is on the team now and my friend said the area and the kid were dirt poor, but he signed with them and showed up to school the next day in a brand new car. Says everyone knows it down there and does not care because they care more about football. I guess they really take that "if you ain't cheatin, then you ain't trying" thing to heart.
Didn't the SEC put a no oversigning rule in place that states you can only sign 25 guys now per year. Same as the big 10.
You can make any rule you want - but the key is enforcing your rule. The SEC isn't gonna do anything to stop oversigning, there is nothing in place for the violators. The most players Texas A&M ever took in the Big-12 was 28, which is 25 plus 3 early enrollees. Year one in the SEC they are at 34 with at least 3 or more guys likely on board. Every conference over-signs (even OSU) but the SEC does it at such a high-level they end up getting 30+ more kids every 4 years. HUGE ADVANTAGE, especially when there is so much talent down South.
