"Your Mouth Keeps Signing Checks that Your Body Can't Cash"
This B1G expansion is starting to turn me off. Nebraska was an excellent choice. However, the two new members, no disrespect because they are fine Universities, do nothing for the overall brand of the conference. Furthermore adding 2 and possibly more is lunacy. Additions for the sole purpose of money is this what college sports has come to? As someone mentioned earlier, what is the point of having all these teams in a conference when you will never play. Doesn’t that already happen in the NFL?This used to be the most prestigious conference in the land in every aspect; Now money rules.
College sports have always been better than pro because of the passion, rivalries and tradition. Without that what do you have? A minor league system. And yet they fuss about tats, jerseys and free meals. All the while the conference rakes in the dough hand over fist on the backs of minor leaguer's disguised as collegiate ballers. Delany needs to go and so does any other pimp called commissioner who feels that a super conference is the way to go. What is the point? Just watch the NFL if that is what you want. But leave the best thing going alone.
All of this conference expansion stuff is horrible. It's ruining the tradition of college football and bringing in teams that don't belong. I don't know what's dumber: conference expansion or the idea of a 16 team playoff.
