I am the commish
We have a work (money) league. It's pretty big $$$.
So the new guy in our league, who is also the bosses son, has a problem. Last night one of his buddies got a hold of his i-pad and dropped the Bears Defense and picked up the Browns D. It was processed this morning.
Another guy, who is a long timer in our league and is 1st this week on waivers, picked the Bears up on waivers.
The kid said, "no way", I need to use my commish powers and switch the Bears back on his team. The old guy says "to freakin bad, he should have secured his team and not let his d-bag buddies mess with it...lesson learned."
I am stuck in the middle
What would you do???
The RANT is a Romper Room for Degenerates - jwe
Let the league vote.
It's his fault, but that keeps the decision fair.
Tell him to go skip rocks. The move was made by his account.
I agree with Magnum. And if it's a tie or both of them still bitch and moan take Chicago's defense out of play for the rest of the year and no one gets them on their squad.
Also that dude needs new friends. Messing with a man's fantasy squad is not cool.

Thanks for the down vote
League is split. 5-5 with me on the side of the kid losses him.
My only option is to bring in an outsider. But the elephant in the room is the kid is the bosses son, and people don't like to upset him .
Tell him to make his buddy pay him if he doesn't win the league.
Time and change will surely (truly) show
How firm thy friendship ... OHIO!
Give the kid a choice.
A) Pay a "Letting D-bags use your account" tax and get them back
B) Live with the loss.
Well, in the end, it's your call. I'd change it back, because from what I've gathered, it's not his fault, but I guess whose fault it is doesn't really matter.
how isn't it his fault?
This^^ The kid is SOL. If he has a problem with it, then his problem is with his friend, not the league. If the situation was reversed, would he just give up the Bears defense if he lucked into it? Probably not.

I don't know, where did you deduce that blame was ever established in the original post?
Honestly I don't think his friend did this at all. There would be much worse things his friend could have done to his team then drop a team D. I would think dropping his best position players would have been more devastating than a team D.
And why would a "friend" do this at all?
I'm thinking what happened is the kid accidentally dropped his D somehow someway. Even though FF will ask you if you are sure you want to do this it can still accidentally happen.
A couple years ago in a FF league I did this exact thing. Just wasn't thinking when I dropped Ray Rice. Except my league was brutal.
Even though it was an obvious accident, as no one in their right mind would drop Rice, they wouldn't let me get him back. It ruined my FF season.
We put everything to vote in my league. Everyone has a say. Majority rules. Kid needs to guard his team better though....
I agree it's the best way to prevent hard feelings and takes the decision out of your hands!!
