Remember when Demetrious Knox said him and RB/FB Gresham were a package deal, and if Texas offered Gresham at RB/FB, both would go to Texas. The big deal was Gresham wanted a Texas offer and commit to Texas.
Today, Gresham decommitted from Texas, 247 predicting Ole Miss for Gresham now.
Hard to take a lot of these kids seriously any more, especially with their early commits.
I would like to see Texas get a double win season and a BCS bowl, and a kid like Gresham call again, and Texas say no thanks, the boat is full and we got a better prospect. Good luck elsewhere.
You can say it is a big decision and they have to make sure, but Gresham helped us Knox to ensure he got his Texas offer and commit, and now he decommits. Not much loyalty.
On the outside these things look bad to the people who cover recruiting. It would be interesting to see what kind of things coaches and verbal commits talk about or what possible deals (not shady) they have worked out to get their offers. A lot of it is kids just committing way too early. They think they have their mind made up before they've looked at everything that everyone else has to offer. I can't blame the kids regardless of where a kid commits to or decommits from. Whether it's Alex Anzalone of Lawrence Marshall. You want the kid to be honest with you or you'll end up with someone who wants to transfer after the first year or even worse, someone who wants to get out of their letter of intent before they've even enrolled in school like that kid who planned on attending Florida State.

But is his de-committing a lack of loyalty or this insane rule that Texas has in place that pulls an offer if you already committed but take a visit elsewhere? They may have called him to put on the pressure and he decided that wasn't cool.
