Or is it because of the new partnership with CBS? They're still my go-to rankings, but they have fallen a couple of notches on my level of respect.
We may have lost the battle......but not the war.
Not sure, They are still generally good. Webb and Knox ranked so low is bewildering. Thats why the composite is the jam..
I worried about this when 247 signed with CBS (also known as the SEC network). On the national board their talking about some guy who moved up over 500 spots after committing to Alabama.
But Knox drops? He dominates every camp and drops? Damon Webb? Nine corners better? Please
Last year, Jalin Marshall dominates Saint X for over 300 yards (they also have the top defender in Ohio for next year); he falls.

Demetrious Knox dropping out of the top 100, you got to be kidding. Even though that was a big Rivals camp, he got the best OL in Chicago and just dominated DL like Andrew Brown and others. His offer list, second to very few.
Am I surprised, no. Jalin Marshall got gigged close to 50 spots for a reported bad start in his 40 at the Opening.
Remember the promise to send a guy out and see him play later? Never happened, all OSU is, is the largest paying site and cash cow for the 247.
Morris not dropping out of the top 100 after a bad week in SA and looking out classed like a junior high player vs. those kids in SA was another reason in a long list of gaffes to just use the 247 as a database for me. Their rankings many time resemble a dart board with players names on it.
You can't have it both ways.
24/7 ranking - 95
Composite - 94.3
24/7 ranking - 95
Composite - 89.2
24/7 ranking - 93
Composite ranking - 92.1
24/7 ranking - 90
Composite - 87.6
24/7 ranking - 89
Composite ranking - 87.6
They have HALF of our commits ranked higher than the average of the other sites. Keep complaining about a guy who just got a bump to a freaking 95 and a player in Knox who isn't even committed to us yet.
tell that to Marcelys Jones
But Knox drops? He dominates every camp and drops?
I heard that the recent Rivals camp did not factor into their ratings.. Even if it was sponsored by Rivals, the camp didn't happen.
Our quarterback does front flips, suck it.
They are biasd. End of discussion. Fact is if a kid doesn't camp or camp at the right event you get penalized. These sights are big money now and have partnerships with companies that have deals with conferences. Those conferences want there kids to get high ratings and sights give them that knowing the partnership deals will dry up if you don't scratch the backs of those that feed you.
Hail Hail to MeatChicken the Cesspool of the World!
I think the notion of calling a website such as this "bias" and to not look in the mirror is absurd. You're all mad that OSU recruits aren't ranked higher or are going down on the list. If their analysts aren't at an event such as the Rivals (were they even allowed to attend?) camp and they're at another event and they decide to do upgrades/downgrades it will depend on who they saw. If there weren't any OSU recruits or commits in attendance and people move up, someone has to move down. These kids senior years haven't even started yet and you guys are arguing like they're coming to OSU tomorrow. We have eight months until signing day. Things will be ok. Move away from the ledge.

The "tenth" ranked corner in the nation shutting down the best WR from the 2013 class in LaQuan Treadwell.
Webb and Berger moved up in today's update:

Columbus 'Til I Die.
Did I post about any recruit in my response. Nope. I am away from the ledge and stand by my post. Everything is local. Duane, Bill, Bids, Steve and more guys doing Ohio kids know more about them then any of the schuburts or the national 247 guys or rivals, scouts or espin writers. National guys have agendas to sell stubs and push product.
I understand you like the local guys, I do as well but to just take them as the word of God and throw everyone else's away because their opinion doesn't match yours is a bit bias don't you think?

I take their word for Ohio kids, I wouldn't take their word as gospel for Florida kids. I would look to the local guys who scout Florida.
I want to see Knox commit to bama until the next ratings update. I'd imagine his new rating looking something like this:
All the prep sites have their biases. I am only here because of Bill Kurelic. When he quit publishing his recruiting news mag which I subscribed to for 15 years, I was forced to join here to still receive his info. No offense to the others, I have just followed Kurelic for a long time. 247 is SEC biased and Michigan biased on whoever they recruit. Super Prep is west coast biased towards California/Oregon schools. Max (whatever his name is) he is biased toward big 12/texas/Oklahoma/florida schools. Tom Lemming is Notre Dame biased. Rivals is FSU/Florida/Miami/USC biased. I have watched recruits over the years come from out of nowhere to receive high rankings when it was determined that one of the services bias schools offered.
There's nothing wrong with that though. These services are trying to make a buck, and pandering to certain schools near where they publish/work/etc help them to make money.
Again, Kurelic is the only one whose opinion I weigh heavily.
that is an effective post, Matt
he wouldn't let his players pose in the Playboy All-American magazine edition, he said, "Cause you can't play football with an erection."
Lol. This is what the guys on the Blue Board are calling "the Bama Bump".
