Good luck Coach Hazell, a big time BCS job is right there in the future.
ESPN McMurphy reporting Hazell to interview with Cal today, probably the start of a few legit BCS jobs for Hazell, and he deserves it.
The Tressel coaching tree keeps growing.
Another hot name, ex OSU DC, Marshall coach and Texas A&M DC Mark Snyder. Maybe one more legit year at TAMU, he is right out there again, and still a young guy.
Mel Tucker sometime will be a head coach, whether the NFL or college.
Interesting if he gets hired there and we head there next year...
We are coming for you Bama!
I'd be stunned if Tucker came back to college as it was fairly common knowledge that he didn't like the recruiting aspect of the job. Maybe he chance to be. HC changes things but unless you have a passion for recruiting its tough to be a successful HC in college if you just try to get by on coaching only.

I think the Meyer coaching tree is going to be pretty large before he finishes. I personally expect Meyer to be at Ohio State for at least another 7-10 years. I think he is home and is finally finding that work/play balance he lacked. The man always wanted to be at Ohio State. Always. There's no point in time that he did not want to coach Ohio State.
At any rate, if he stays as long as I think he will, he is going to turn out a LOT of head coaches from Ohio State. There are at least 3 future head coaches on the offensive staff right now, and I think at some point Luke F. will get another shot at a HC position.
Hazell to Cal would be a very nice fit in my opinion, but the Big Ten continues (IMO) to drop the ball in coaching hires and what they are willing to pay for the coaches and their staff. If the Big Ten wants to compete with the SEC, then the bottom number for every coach and their staff for pay annually needs to be $5,000,000. That's the bottom number. The top number might approach $7,000,000 a year.
Hazell would do great at Cal... just have one bad game at home vs. our Buckeyes!!!
Some Big Ten Athletic Directors are just slow to the draw --
I'd have Hazell in my arms now if I was them ( Purdue - Minnesota ).
I couldn't agree more
